50-Pack of Zoetis Alphatrak II Blood Glucose Test Strips

Randy: I don't understand the big hype with Veterinarians with this product. Major inconsistencies. I check my dog's blood in the morning, and it shows 200+ etc. My dog runs around outside like a nut all day long and gets no treats. The end of the day her blood is 525. I run another test, 453. I run a third test and it read 185. The cost is outrageous as well.

Grant: This is quite accurate however I still don’t get why this is so expensive. This is almost the same price as the machine. I’m just glad our dog is finally able to find his balance with his sugar that we don’t need it that much. We are using it now as needed. But it was quite hard when we we’re just starting and figuring out how to begin because this is so expensive especially if you calculate all other stuff that you need to take care of a diabetic dog. I’m just complaining about the price but the product is good. I think it’s just how American healthcare price is whether for humans or animals always so pricey.

Amazon Customer: We have be getting these strip to test our dog , This box has been the worse one yet out of 50 test strips 16strips have been bad. Its like they take out good strips and replace them with old strips , Through the pass two years this has been the worse box. We useley get maybe 2 to 4 that are bad not this box, 16 that is alot for what we pay for this stuff. I just ordered 2 more boxes we are heading out of town for around 4 mounts hopefuly theses will be better I have bought these strips from ADW diabetes afew times 6 in all this batch is by far the worse one, Were hoping they are just bad from the factory and no one is changing out new ones with old. We calibrate our metter with controle solution befor and during with every box to make sure meter is working right. This time we took the bad strips and good strips to our Vet to have them check against there meter ours reads the same as theres. Quality control needs to be better. Out of all the bad strips now we are out a half of box . Money doesn't grow on trees as some companys may think just because you have a pet that needs meds to stay alive doesn't mean companys sholud take advanage of us and short change us . AllysonAllyson: Honestly, we've bought the knock off brands and dealt with the inaccurate results and often using 2-3 strips just to get one number, but I wouldn't trust any other strip besides this one going forward. My husband was using the knock off one night when I was still at work and Paco's glucose was coming in at 10, then saying too high to chart, then 50. We were so stumped and couldn't decide if he needed to be rushed to the emergency vet or just wait it out. I tossed those strips and we're back to using these. I'll never make the mistake again to switch strips. These are more expensive for sure, but isn't peace of mind worth it?

Ruth: Use in Alphatrak II to monitor my diabetic dog’s blood glucose levels. These test strips are designed to be used with the AlphatrakII monitor—I have spoken with Zoetis and using a different brand in their monitor could give very different results and impact the health of your diabetic pet. Have been able to perform glucose curves at home as well as check his levels when he seems “off”. Feel that I have been able to avoid emergency trips to the vet as I can communicate with her about his readings and address issues from home.
