Danny DelRayDanny DelRay: The easy part was the installation. These gutter guards fit perfectly. Make sure you measure correctly and definitely use the screws to secure them. My last gutter guards were the cheap plastic ones from Home Depot and they all fell in from the leaves and weight of the roof dust and whatever else could land on them so they were worthless. The only hard part about doing this job yourself is the cleaning out of the gutters and washing everything down once the job is complete.

sglosglo: I was not able to cut the edges with tin-snips, as was advertised, and instead I used clamps and a oscillating tool, which worked well. Very DIY friendly. Does take some time to manipulate and bend the pieces to fit snugly. Screw bit comes with product and screws installed swiftly and smoothly. products are sturdy and easily manipulated to fit gutters as intended. I will be a repeat customer with future gutter guard needs. My only concern may be that since the mesh is so tightly woven, small amounts of water may stick to the mesh and freeze in the winter, causing blocked gutters and preventing drainage through the mesh. That being said, it isn't a large enough concern for me, as I wanted the mesh to be tightly woven, and that is one of the main reasons I chose these, so I feel it is just a risk that comes along with the style I wanted.

Honest-DHonest-D: So far so good. We have a very long gutter that takes on the water from the long dormer above from two downspouts. This can be seen in the photo. The lower gutter's 1 downspout was constantly clogged with debris and then overflowing the gutter in rain storms, even with repeated cleanings a season. Since the guards have been placed, there has been zero overflow from any gutter.
Guards look sleek and aren't visible from the ground. Installation was fairly easy once practiced.
A few pieces of advise....
1. Follow the manufacturer's instruction. Installation is very simple. We chose to screw down the guards in lieu of taping because we have old gutters. Plus in case we need access in the future, it seemed easier.
2. Using a ladder stabilizer is way better than leaning against the gutter because it's easier to work in the area necessary. We leaned the stabilizer on the roof, not below the eave against the wall. "Werner" was the brand we liked. Also, it's really helpful if you are using the 20 ft. ladder.
3. We had a 90 degree intersection where a roof met a wall. We used a "Pivit -Roof Boot" and "Pivit - Ladder Tool" to secure the ladder to the lower roof. Huge...

Mike from Toronto: I have tried several gutter guards and none of them seem to be able to keep pine needles out. They slow them down, but they still get through and eventually clog everything up. Removing and cleaning and replacing the guards was a tiresome task. The Raptor Gutter Guards installed easily and so far, seem to keep all the needles out.

Daniel Goewey: Researched many different options for covers. Our home has evergreens with needles and hard woods with annual seed and leaf fall issue to deal with. I'm getting older and am looking to limit the use of ladders around our home.
Enter this great product! Blew out the gutters as the install progressed. The install was easy, sliding under the shingles and having a formed aluminum edge that fits well against the front edge of the gutter. The sections have enough mesh material at each end that it nicely overlaps each added section giving a fine finished appearance. Also included with each box ordered is a nice driver socket and sheet metal screws for mounting the covers to the gutters.
So far, the pine needles have not been an issue (thought they might stick into the mesh, but no!) They provide a link at the web site for a good brush that can be used to brush off the mesh. You pay shipping and they try and get you to buy an extending handle for the brush which I passed on. An old screw end wood handle will work just fine. Our home is a ranch so I have been able to keep the covers clean from the ground.
Only negative I have is that the build quality for the covers is...

Len LetainLen Letain: The media could not be loaded. First of all, I was eyeballing these exact gutter guards when they were $169 apiece however, when they showed up being 40% off I grabbed them ASAP. They were described as being used but in good condition. They did not disappoint. I could tell that somebody had tried installing them as there were some scratch marks on the aluminum edges. However, this has zero impact on overall quality. The most difficult thing about these is actually installing them depending on the type of roof you have. As you can see, my roof is a metal seam roof, which offers very little flexibility, my first piece took me 40 minutes to install and by the time I got to the last four or five pieces each piece took me about 5 to 10 minutes apiece. The hardest part was trying to tuck the one edge underneath my metal roof. This required a lot of patience. If you are installing these on a shingled roof, I would imagine it would be a lot easier especially if your shingles have some flexibility left in them.

Jean Neill: Only drawback was, it was a little bit hard to cut, other than that it was great. Highly recommend.

J. Bick: These are great so far. I installed today and i think they’ll be very effective. My complaint is they don’t provide enough screws! You will absolutely drop SEVERAL of these-likely in a pile of yup, you guessed it. Leaves. They should provide twice as many screws and if you have a Cape or other style house with a steep roof you’ll be installing following “Option 2” and you’ll need twice as many screws because you’re screwing these into the fascia as well…and the screws provided will be too short to bite into the fascia.
For the price they should supply an adequate supply of hardware!
