Make your kitchen cabinets and furniture doors stay securely closed with the JQK Drawer Magnetic Door Catch! This 4-pack of ultra-thin furniture latches provides a 15-pound magnet to ensure secure closure of your sliding doors. With its superior build quality, great value for money, and excellent customer support, the JQK Drawer Magnetic Door Catch is the best choice for keeping your cabinet doors securely shut.Mr. Le: I installed a cabinet door to cover my electrical panel in the basement. I used these magnets to keep the door shut. It's a strong magnetic to keep the door shut but also easily enough to open it. Happy with the results.

Nikki: Don't buy this hoping it will stay on the wall with just the sticker. The magnet is too strong and just rips the sticky tape off the wall (or the magnet back off the sticky tape). You need to screw the back plate onto the wall.
I updated my review to 4 stars because after using screws to secure the magnet half to the wall, this product works great. But I was trying to avoid putting more holes in the wall, so it would have been better if the stickers had been more sticky.

Ted Cloak: Our brand new high end sliding screen for our patio door is a big improvement. It slides open and shut with a bare touch of a pinky. Problem: It's so smooth that a gust of wind or a stray cat can open it. It's got a latch but it needs a catch instead, because we don't want to be locked out accidentally. The JQK is a perfect solution. I stuck the adhesive strip to the magnet, stuck the magnet to the latch on the door, and tightly closed the door. The adhesive strip clung to the bottom of the channel of the door jam so, when I gently pulled the door open, it, and the magnet, clung there. After putting a little pressure on the magnet and strip, and leaving it open for a day, we seem to have just enough catch. (This might not have worked had the jam been pierced for the latch, but you could install the magnet over the hole using the furnished screws instead of the adhesive strip, I think.)

S.C. st petersburg 1234567: I bought these to use on a doghouse door I was making out of a doormat. The doghouse is plastic so glue does not work. So I heated up the end of an Allen wrench in a candles flame, then push it thru the holes of the magnetic plate. The screws that come with it, are too small, so I used my own. But they had a raised head so the plate and the metal strip would not lay flat. The good part is the magnet is only in the middle of the plate so I just turned the other plate vertical to make a cross, and it works great. I ended up sewing the metal plate to the door with thread. This was not for a dog, but for an outdoor food pantry. I also sewed another magnet on the outside of the door, and on the top of the dog house I screwed in another magnet plate, so the door can stay open by itself. Just hope it holds up on rainy days. This magnet is so strong it works thru a towel, an oven mitt, and it pulled off the magnet when I only used glue. The magnet is a rectangle 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch and a quarter inch. The plate itself is 1 1/2 inches long. It comes with matching adhesive
3M tapes, but didn't work on plastic. I think you must use screws, magnet is too powerful for glue. Like how they...

Matt Sullivan: It works good, wish the adhesive was a bit stronger. One application that i tried magnet was stronger than the adhesive and the metal plate came off. I got around it by using some super glue. Other than that id say the magnet is decent enough

Kristine: This is a great product and you get what you think you are getting. But BEWARE SAFETY ISSUE getting this up and running (who would think?). Both the magnet piece and the steel piece almost exact in size and as the product comes packaged they are magnetically clasped together. The magnet is quite strong and the metal pieces are thin so it is almost impossible to separate them.
I had to use a knife and even with trying VERY hard and almost injuring myself multiple times I could NOT separate these pieces. The knife simply did not want to get in between these pieces to allow me to pry them apart. I literally could not believe how difficult this was! And I began to wonder of there was something I had overlooked and maybe this was just one piece and the other piece was still in the box with the rest of the magnets. But no in fact this was the two pieces clasped together TIGHTLY, very TIGHTY.
Eventually I decided to throw the clasped pieces against my tile floor very hard hoping to separate them. They did NOT separate, although there was a slight shift in the position of the two pieces. So I threw it against the tile floor a few times again. I even chipped the floor....

FloriDave: I originally purchased a set of these for an equipment demonstration room at my work. The equipment has doors that are secured with screws or locks but these fasteners got in the way during demos. These magnets are a perfect solution for keeping the doors closed without having to fumble with a key or screwdriver to open them. I found these magnets to be so useful that I purchased another pack to use at home.
The included counter sunk wood screws and adhesive pads work well and are very strong. I recommend cleaning the surface to remove any dirt or oils so that the adhesives can work. For my use on equipment doors, the magnets were mounted to sheet metal so I found some small countersunk machine screws and nuts to fasten them as the surfaces are textured and the sticky pads eventually let loose.
The magnets are strong enough so that one magnet can grab a fairly heavy 2' x 3' metal door. Some of the doors did not need the catch plate as the doors contain enough iron to hold tight to the magnet on their own.
I have used these on some wooden cabinet doors at home in place of the typical magnetic catch that intrudes into the door opening. I am also going to use these to keep...

PaulPaul: To get to the water heater in my travel trailer you have to remove 2 srews which hold the access door on . This becomes a pain after awhile. I first thought of hinges but that puts the door in your way when you close for the season and have to bypass and fill the lines with RV antifreeze . So I thought of magnets to hold the door on instead of the screws works great
