Roadrunner: The product is well worth the cost over the plastic one's on the market. I used 24 of these to replace the plastic one's on my shutters. The plastic one's do not last from the sun coming thru the windows. Even with sun screens. My only disappointment is that Amazon shipped them in a plastic bag that did not hold the weight. When I found them at my front door the bag was opened up big time. Thought for sure that there would be missing parts. Luckily all was there. Hey Amazon those bags can't handle two & half pounds.

Jaman: It's a nice design that looks good and seems like it may last longer than the typical hardware store variety (that eventually fail with the magnet coming loose from the base). Only issue is that the height and forward/back mounting position are a bit different, so if you are replacing a different catch, you may need to create new screw holes and move the plate on the door.
The one gripe is that the "legs" for the screws are positioned forward, while the typical catch can have screws attach a bit further back from the plane of the magnet (which gives you some flexibility). Not a deal breaker, but may mean a little extra work when installing.
