Island girl: I bought this to keep my granddaughter out of the kitchen, and it did! Good quality, the latch works great, at the beginning we did not know how it worked, but when we got the hang it it, it was easy to open and close the gate.

Zac: I bought one of these for the office, it was very easy to install and first perfectly. Just make note of which direction you want the door to open and which side you need the most space ahead of time. I sorta rushed into putting it together and realized on the back end, but was very quick and easy to make the adjustment. I will also say that it is quite durable, in that I thought it was open and I accidentally fell through it once haha.

orborn93orborn93: At first I had an issue with the gate door being warped but I figured that was because of the angle I installed it. After fixing that this gate fits all my needs.

The locking mechanism is a little weird, it requires two hands. I’m used to pull-back latches that are easier to unlock with one hand, but that’s not a big deal as I just leave the latch closed but not fully locked.

Ehouldin: Good quality, pressure fit works well, a bit too easy to open as my 19 month old has worked it out already after only a few days but it was only to keep him from escaping the living room! Only issue I have is that it states to fit between certain sizes, but that’s misleading. The extension was too big even though it was within the “fits between” measurements but without it the rods were at full extension and so made the gate unstable. Have now used it on a different and narrower door which is working well. I’d advise working out the width without the extension and with it and ensuring your door/space it’s being used it near old those exact measurements.

Hyoun Kim: My review is a little long, so grab a drink and sit back. I know that this gate is mainly for children BUT it is also listed under pet products when you go to the Amazon pet category. My main reason for purchasing this gate is because my wife is tired of setting up our existing gate system for our two small dogs (10 lbs each) every time we leave the house. The gates we own are an older model of the  Evenflo Memory Fit II Gate , which work VERY well (the pressure is strong enough to where they don't/can't push the gate down). However, setting them up is a real pain and because my wife's mother purchased  North States Supergate Easy Close Metal Gate, Bronze  for their home, my wife suggested we get one as well because she really liked how you can walk through those without complete disassembly.

After using that gate at my mother-in-law's house, I decided I didn't like the  North States Supergate Easy Close Metal Gate, Bronze . The locking mechanism required you had to manually twist it back to lock it. Whether it was set up wrong or if it was an actual defect I'm not sure. But because of that AND the price of $50, I knew it wasn't an option for...
