Tracy: I’ve just finished week 1 of this recipe book. I really appreciate the way this book is written, the approach to shared weekly ingredients with different flavor profiles, and very well written directions. These are week night meals—not a culinary experience. But what I’ve had so far is tasty, with surprising variety in flavor profiles given the use of the same ingredients across the 3 recipes. And it has definitely got us out of the rut of having the same tired dinners or eating prepackaged foods. The recipes are all gluten free (not an issue for me but an added benefit) with instructions for making recipes paleo, and grain free. And maybe some other dietary options. And honestly—the biggest benefit of this book is that dinner is planned for you for a week (or 3 days depending on how you do it). No more asking ‘what do you want for dinner tonight’ at 5:30.

The cautions:

These recipes are listed for 4 servings. They are huge servings. I think you could feed a family of 5 easily—even with a teenage boy in the mix. Moving forward we’ll be cutting back ingredients by 1/3 which will be enough for 3 large dinner portions and one day of lunch.

T A: I'm a cookbook fiend and I have a senior/dementia mother I struggle to meal prep for. I work and have a lot of obligations and cooking constantly just burns me out...and she's picky!!! I've bought so many books to try and cook health and tasty recipes for her, and all of them fall flat. This book is SPECTACULAR!!!!!! It arrived yesterday and I have spent last night and this morning going over each recipe, and it's food we both can like!!!!

I stumbled upon this book on CNN's suggested food prep list, and am I so excited that I clicked on the article!!!

I'm a huge fan of ATK, Cook's Country, Milk Street, Kenji, Serious Eats, NYT, and I subscribe to at least 20+ international food blogs. This book is right up there with all of my faves. BUY THIS BOOK!!!

I know it sounds crazy to say I want to cry right now, but I'm totally tearing up. This book is a lifesaver, and everything looks divine, and there's no doubt the recipes will be top notch, based on the ingredients and prepping/cooking processes. If I could give this book an award, I would. It's absolutely everything I've needed and been looking for. Thank you, Cassy!!!!

Angelina: We have used this book for almost a year now! It has streamlined our shopping and cooking for dinner. I like that all 3 meals for a week have similar ingredients. We are able to get at least 2 large portion meals if not more for 2 adults out of all the dishes typically. We have recommended and had others purchase this cookbook after trying the meals at least 3 times now. The directions are simple, the prep normally takes one person about 2 hours for the whole week and each meal takes less than 20 minutes to cook day of typically. Love this thing.

Paul: I was a bit apprehensive due to some of the people's negative comments as this book was created with a certain geographic location in mind it seemed. I went along anyway and I was so impressed with the ease of use, the method, and the meals. This book literally saved my sanity as a single dad with 2 kids. It reduced my meal prep time from 8 hours down to 1 and half hours and it's absolutely delicious, creative, and easy. This is by far the best and most outstanding meal prep book I have owned. Finally, after such a long search I have found a healthy, cheap, and easy way. Thank you so much to the author! Cooking has become fun again. :-D

Sara HSara H: Convinced by The Minimal Mom on YouTube that the cookbook "Cook Once, Eat All Week" might be life-changing, I purchased a used copy (spiral bound) on Amazon. This book has quite a collection of HEALTHY recipes that use plenty of vegetables and no cans/boxes/junk food (although bacon is debatable). The recipes call for real, fresh ingredients. The book contains 26 "weeks" (a set of 3) of dinner recipes that use similar ingredients that are prepped ahead of time. For example, cook 5 lbs of chicken and divide it into 3 containers to use later. Each recipe serves 4 to 6 people (generously). I looked through the recipes and chose week 09 because I already had most of the ingredients needed. I only had to buy avocados and mini corn tortillas. I'm not a big kale fan and I already had fresh spinach and mixed greens so I used those in place of the kale. The "prep day" was pretty straight forward. I used a pressure cooker to cook the chicken instead of baking in the oven. I was concerned about not having enough room in my fridge for everything, but that was no problem. The containers don't have to be big. I used fitpacker containers (28oz and 12oz sizes) and glass jars (8oz). The first...

Sarah A.: Great easy recipes! As I can't follow recipes very well I am glad that these recipes can be changed easily! One example is that we don't eat pork at our house and another one that just a few of the ingredients are not easy to buy in Germany. I love that it's real food and spices and not just pre made mix ingredients.

I received the book yesterday and started prepping for one week today. It took little time and the instructions were really easy to follow and in a logical order.

If there is a negative.... as I wrote before... I am German living in Germany. I am not used to US measurements anymore and had to look up the correct temperature or measurements from time to time... but that is to be expected when buying it...

I love the concept of this book! It's just made really beautifully.
