2020 Tacoma Push to Start Vehicle Remote Starter Kit by Start-X

jt: Just finished install and wanted to say that the install went relatively easy. The video instructions were good. I had some trouble finding the GREY plug to unplug. In the video the plug just magically appears and where it is in the vehicle is hard to tell. A picture or explanation would have saved me about 20 minutes. The whole install took about an hour. overall I am very happy.

Pete: Easy to install. Watch the YT video a segment at a time. Easiest way to get the existing plug out of the connector is to use the plastic pry tool to depress the locking tab and gently tug on the connector. Be sure to watch the video for programming. I believe you have to temporarily remove the air bag. Might be a good idea to disconnect the battery, install, reconnect air bag, connect battery and program the module. So far it's working great.

Shawn P: Plug and play. You need 10mm socket and pry tool included. You have to disassemble the right kick plate and side cover and drop the airbag down with the 3 10mm bolts. Find grey harness connector then unplug and plug in the provided grey connector and plug in power to Starter module. Don't forget to push the program button on module.
I did and had to disassemble again. LoL.

Chris: So easy to install, a child could probably do it. Of course, you shouldn’t let them because there are very sharp edges on some of the plastic pieces. That’s a “me problem”, not the manufacturer of the vehicle or remote start. So, yeah, watch out for those because I cut one of my fingers and had a little bit of blood to clean up. No biggie. Anyway, straight up, stoopid easy and it works. Can’t really ask for much more.

Teagan: Hardest part of install is removing the first Grey plug from the housing that you have to connect to. It's tight. Gf didn't really have the hand strength to get out even though her hands were smaller. I eventually gave it more force then I was comfortable applying to wires and plastics but it came off with no damage. The wires inside the panel are hard and stiff making them difficult to move around. After about 8 minutes of fidgeting it came loose and the rest of the install was easy. When I programmed it as in the video when it was all plugged in impressed the ignition twice and the lights on the box didn't change at the very end like in the video. But the unit was functioning properly already. Very happy with it. Works as advertised and was half the price without an install. No Brainer. You can do this install if you can plug a cable into hole and hold down a button.
