Shawn G: I can't say whether or not the product works because I purchased it without checking to see if my phone was OTG compatible. Unfortunately, it is not. However, the product does seem to be durable. I'll have to find another way to access my broken screen.

Trusted Consumer: I use one of these as an adapter for my camera and another for my PC, neither of them have caused me any issues after several years. They fit tight and don't feel cheap at all, a quality product. Seems like a must-have for a post COVID world, where more and more people are working from home, but still need to have meetings that require webcams or cameras.

Peter L.: I have no problem with the quality of the product, it was not what I needed. The return was simple enough and efficient. However, I was charged $7.00 (deducted from my refund) for the cost of return. I checked the product again and can find no mention of returns being charged. In the past I have returned items and as a Prime customer I enjoy free delivery, so why the charge?

Seb: 5/5, cheap, simple, works. It is an OTG USB cable. If you know what it is, then you don't need an explanation.

If you don't know what it is, then you will spent hours figuring out why your robot doesn't recognise the USB drive firmware update, or why your phone doesn't recognise your new headphone amp. But that is your fault, not the device's fault... Like it was my faut not reading the manual and wasting my time. ;)

Anyway, you need an OTG(!) USB cable to connect cameras, USB drives, dongles, amps and DACs to a phone or tablet or vacuum robot, because a NORMAL USB cable is slightly different and will NOT let your phone or tablet or vacuum robot "see" the USB device (look on Wikipedia for the "why").

Tomcat: Having recently replaced my Android phone to something much more capable, I was keen to try out the On-The-Go peripherals feature, so after a bit of searching found this Ugreen product. The price of £5.99 a pair was immediately attractive compared to others of a similar price for one.

The cables came individually wrapped in foil backed zip-lock bags that are thick enough to protect the product when carried in a coat pocket, purse or bag. The actual cable length is 123mm, excluding the USB and micro-USB plugs. The plugs themselves are well finished, smooth and symmetrical, and the fit is firm and positive when plugging into a device. The micro-USB fitted perfectly into the socket on my Moto G5 Plus, despite the phone having a thick bumper case.

So far I have tried out the Ugreen OTG cables with a video boroscope, 32-1 USB media card reader, and a variety of USB flash drives including HP brand, which are notoriously fickle, and had no problems accessing files via my Moto phone. With an appropriate app from the Play Store, I was even able to plug in my full sized Nikon D700 SLR into my G5 Plus and control it, firing the shutter, changing the settings and getting a live...

Cuba RodriguezCuba Rodriguez: I ordered these back in mid March 2017, but I wanted to give the most accurate review possible. I have used these for my phone to connect with my printer mostly, and 1 time for downloading software to a USB drive. I'm so pleased!!

A few of the reasons why I like it so much:
1. I can now print directly with my smart phone. I'm constantly needing schematics or equipment manuals, so instead of going to fetch my laptop to hook it to the printer, I keep 1 of these cables with the printer and print off my phone! (I use the printershare app)
2. I always have my phone. Smart phones are the most versatile "computers" we use, so it makes sense to keep a cable with me at all times too, making my phone even more powerful or productive.
3. I now have a 3rd way of extending phone memory. I have a micro SD card in the phone, I use the "cloud", the 3rd being an external drive or USB memory card with the use of these cables.
4. The cables seem to be good quality, making it an even better buy than I initially expected.

The phone I currently use is the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, just to give an insight on what platform I'm using. I would most definitely recommend these cables...
