Amazon Customer: Returning this unfortunately. It initially seemed to attach well but fell off the wall multiple times within an hour or so and therefore not fit for the purpose.

jac Hutt: Could prove to be worthy of 5 stars if it lasts. The suction is good, but as we installed it on a smooth fiberglass shower/tub surround we find that it is best to put it near an outside edge or inner corner where there is a stud or support underneath the fiberglass. If placed in the center where ther is no support you can see that the tub surround moves when you put weight on the handle. I think it will work well for the purpose of additional place to grab to help me move onto, and off of my transfer shower bench.

Ms Flutterbug: These are dangerous and useless! If I could give minus stars in this review I would!
I purchased 2 sets of these (4 total) to use 2 on each side of the entrance to my shower and one in front and the last one on the back wall of my shower. They appeared to be sturdy, well made and easy to install just by holding it to the wall and pushing the button to adhere it to the shower wall. WRONG!
I scrubbed the shower to make sure there was no scum or soap residue on the shower tile walls where these bars were to be placed, I then used an alcohol wipe to further clean the area where they would be installed. This is the process I use every time I install new bars which is approximately every 1 1/2 to 2 years.
When I applied the 1st one on the inside back wall and pushed the button to make the seal it appeared to be was very tight, secure hold and I thought these will last longer. I left the bathroom to answer a call which lasted about 15 - 20 minutes. While on the phone I heard it hit the shower floor. So I am returning both sets of these.
You buy suction bars for safety getting in and out of shower or grab if needed. These give you no since of security. PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN...

JoeBoxy: I sometimes feel unsteady in the shower and my fiberglass shower walls have nothing to hold onto, and are quite slippery when wet. These bars give me 2 convenient and sturdy handholds that I can place exactly where I need them. Their suction grip on fiberglass is exceedingly strong. They do not slip, and their textured grip ensures that my hand does not slip off. They are very reassuring. The handle diameter and wall clearance are just right. They do not jut into the shower space obtrusively, so I do not bump into them.

Installation:
Caution: While the bars themselves are very sturdy and “grippy”, this does not mean your wall surface can sustain a lot of pressure from your weight. In other words, since these grip onto the wall surface, that surface may fail to hold if you place too much weight on the bars. This is NOT the fault of the bars! For example if you place onto wall tiles, those tiles may break away from the wall if you place all your weight on the bar. If you need something to pull a lot of your weight up, I recommend that you use grab bars that bolt into the wall studs, not dimply grip the surface. I would be very cautious about using these bars on painted...

Sharks Bite 1: Great product, I added extra holding power, to prevent falls in the shower. I’m 5’10” 220 lbs, after placing it in position in the shower, I pulled hard to check the security of it. No budge ! Well built, large grip area, looks great. Great Product !
