Tracy: I LOVE these locks! I have them on all my windows and my slider. On my slider, I initially put two, to prevent the slider from opening at all. I have a bar as well, to keep the door from sliding.
I wanted to be able to open the slider to get fresh air, but not wide enough that someone could get in. I got a bar that allowed the door to open 7 inches. Then I put a second set of locks to match the bar length. It's perfect for nighttime or when I am in another part of the house.
I don't notice the locks due to them being clear. I would suggest that you position them carefully, as the adhesive is strong. I am very pleased with these and have recommended them to friends and family.

flpalmtree: Our house has four sets of sliding glass doors leading out to our lanai. That’s great for access from any room, but difficult when a family member has dementia and there’s concern that they’ll decide to go for a stroll during the night. So we got these locks to keep people in, rather than for keeping people out. We attached these to our doors at a height that is out of reach of our dementia family member, but within reach for the rest of us. We’ve been using these locks for about nine months. It’s worked exactly as we need it to.

LL: As other people have stated it is a little bit thick for a sliding last door. Luckily the whole reason I needed it is because my house is shifted and the door no longer locks on its own. This also created a reasonable Gap towards the bottom so I just place these more towards the bottom than towards the top. It would not work on the top it does work on the bottom there's more of a gap between the two doors. So far the glue is still holding on and it's working fine but it's only been a week

Dee G: They were very easy to install. I’m just hoping they do the job and don’t break if someone try’s to force open.
