Vivian SB: Clean the channels well with a toothbrush to remove all debris, dirt and particles that will interfere with the installation. Then, spray a light coating of silicone spray in the tracks and wipe off the excess. This will save you a lot of effort and make the installation a breeze, something I wish I had done from the start instead of using soapy water which was not helpful. The weather seal is of very good quality and flexible, which makes it easy to work with and install. It has plenty of length left over to fold the ends over for a neat installation. I don't know how it compares to the original door seal because when I purchased my home, the seal was missing but this replacement is a quality product. I'm happy that my garage is now well-sealed.

Dave Elsdon: The products well-made and sturdy
Installing Is it real easy you have to deal with a tight fit but other than that it’s good product

Mrlam33: There are two types of keys to slide into the bottom garage door track. There is a capital “T”track and an “i” track. The box stores only carry the T tracks. Verify before you buy. So far this purchase appears to be of good grade rubber. Appears to be an exact replacement installed approximately 14 years ago by the builder. You will need a good silicone spray to slide the rubber into the tracks. WD-40 doesn’t work. 3 and 1 works good. You may need a second person to feed the rubber on a double car garage door.

JOSE ADALBERTO MARQUEZ PRECIADO: The media could not be loaded.  Muy buen producto calidad y precio y muy fácil de instalar solo limpia la base una vez retirado el anterior lubrica un poco los rieles de sujeción e instalar el nuevo se puede hacer con 1 sola persona.

RolidnotRolidnot: I have a Wayne Dalton 8300 16 foot garage door that was installed in 2006 by a professional overhead door company.

The door still looks like new inside and out. The bottom gasket is a wear item and needed to be replaced.

I did my due diligence, located my door model number on the door sticker, looked up the door model on Amazon and found a match for my door model number. I even looked at the side of the door seal track and it looked like the Wayne Dalton “D” style seal edge.

The order came quickly and I figured installation would be almost effortless. This new gasket would not fit the seal track. Why?

I may have a Wayne Dalton 8300 door but the bottom seal and track are made by the Clopay door company. The reason the plastic Clopay door seal track looked like a Wayne Dalton track was because it had deformed a bit over the last 17 years.

The “professional” door company mixed the door and seal manufacturers. The Clopay door seal had “T” edges and the Wayne Dalton edges resemble a “D”. The seals are not interchangeable.

Home Depot handles Clopay seals so I bought it there and had it installed in 15 minutes.

Imapseudonym: We have an 11 year old Overhead Door brand 16 ft 4 panel metal door. Original bottom weatherseal had become brittle, cracked and separated. Checked OH door website and found replacement seal at a reasonable price but shipping costs were more than the seal itself. Found this site with similar seal configuration - flat with one side smooth and one side ribbed, and with small bulbs on each edge - for 2/3 the price and minimal shipping cost. Shipping was prompt and new seal installed easily. Three items to be aware of: 1) my door seal track was crimped on each end to hold the seal in place... I had to open up the crimps with flathead screwdrivers before I could remove the old seal and install the new seal, 2) after removing the old seal, clean the track slots of any debris or corrosion, 3) use a light amount of WD40 or other lube in the tracks to help the new seal slide in easily... I tried to slide it with dry tracks and the rubber bound up and twisted. The lube makes it a one person job, although you do have to be careful guiding it in the tracks to prevent it from jamming. I actually worked from one side and pushed the seal across, forming the bulb with one hand and pushing it down...

Bob J.: Quality of seal is OK, not as tough as original. Easy to install but will see how long it lasts. Had to cut to length but overall very happy.
