alexmtn: A compact, durable, inexpensive way to make a lot of noise with little effort - for 8 people! Outdoors, the sound carries well beyond the dimensions of a playing field. In the woods in an emergency, (my primary purpose), I estimate an audible range of at least 0.1 mile.

Jenna: You don't need to blow on them hard to for a loud whistle. I forgot this and blew on it hard, my ears were sore for a few hours.
Got these to help prevent my cats from getting into a tussle (new cat). Technically they work, but they're too loud for humans much less an animal and I'm reluctant to use them as a result.
