Virgina Tech: Less and less of the stone is producing bubbles. When I started with it 9 months ago almost the entire length of the air stone had bubbles. Now only the first 2 inches show bubbles. In the beginning the bubbles were medium and now they are rather large, to the point that they are disturbing the surface and it splatters.

Pamela E: I've purchased 2 of these - they are a great addition to a tank. Take awhile to get the bubbles going but once they do it's great. Takes about a month to get the stone bubbling at full strength.

M. J. C. Paul: It works exactly as it should. I have mine buried under a couple inches of coarse sand and powered by a Hygger 5W adjustable air pump (set rather low). The entire stone bubbles well. There is one very minor dead spot, but that could likely be the way my substrate is sitting on top of the stone. Cheap, effective, no regrets.

Hilary: Bought this for my son’s first aquarium. It works very well, but you must use a strong air pump (not a cheap one) if you want to create an authentic bubble wall.

Make sure you soak the stone in water prior to set up. You can lightly press your fingers onto the stone to ensure the water is penetrating. You can verify this when you see the stone darken from pressing your finger tips on the stone in submerged water.

Sits well in gravel and works exactly as stated.

Ryan: The bubbles are significantly larger than the a standard small airstone would produce.
The distribution of the bubbles along the stone is okay but you can sort of see a few distinct columns of larger bubbles.

Will probably go back to Marina extendable stones.

LLynn: First use the bubble wand was impressive looking. Makes larger bubbles than expected but in my large tank that look works. Did not use the suction cups so I can't comment on that. I layed it in the bottom of the tank on top of the sand and it does not move so all good there. Within a few days the bubbles in the centre section stopped coming through the entire length leaving some gaps. Too bad otherwise much higher rating would have been given.

Robin: I purchased 4 of these air stones and connected them in tandem across the bottom back of my 75 gallon reef aquarium. They provide a wall of tiny bubbles all across the back providing much aeration and also beauty. Perhaps some of the reviewers didn't install them correctly. They need to be soaked in water before use and they need to be positioned horizontally or the bubbles will rise from the highest end. These worked the way I expected and wanted them to so I'm satisfied.

J. M. S: This works well, although I will say my pump didn't! This stone put out maybe 2 streams of bubbles! So I bought a better pump and tried this product again. MUCH better. I got a pump rated for a 55G tank instead of my 10G pump. I will say that I get an even stream of bubbles now although I wouldn't say they are super fine bubbles. They aren't as many/small as the picture, but it still looks nice.

I will say I tried to connect this to another stone and it didn't work. Again, I think I should have gone up to a 100G pump to connect two and have them work, but in reality, they didn't connect together well so I'm not sure if it would have really worked in the end anyway.
