S.Jane: These are great for making lentil pancakes on the griddle. Have also used the puree in a soup, and will be exploring other ways to incorporate them into our menu.
Some shipper at Amazon shipped the lentils just in the lentil bag itself and they arrived OK, but really this is a loss for the seller if the bag gets damaged. But, not to worry, I was finally able to chat with an amazon robot about it and was assured it was immediately escalated to high priority and would never happen again. Now I feel much better. ;)

xaidoo: Lentils are not as orange as other lentils of prime grade. Maybe that's because they are split lentils.
