the computer geek: I have been drinking kefir for a while, but I decided that making my own kefir was going to be cheaper than continuing to buy the store brand. So I did a lot of research. I ended up buying water kefir grains from Florida Sun Kefir. They arrived in the mail quickly and I followed the instructions they included on laminated cards. So far, my kefir grains are growing like crazy and I am making a drinkable kefir a couple times a week. I have been trying different flavors once I filter off the fermentation and it is a lot of fun to see what can be made. Definitely worth the time to make this drink.

Stacey: I have dabbled in making my own water kefir before and enjoyed making different flavors. The quality of the grains was excellent. Big and plump and they responded well on initial ferment with molasses. They keep multiplying!! As for the service, it was also excellent. Received my shipment in two day!! Would highly this company and product! Will order again in the future.
My favorite water kefir flavor is pineapple!

DianeS: I rarely write reviews, but I've been struggling for over a year with grains from another company. I could not get them to rehydrated despite being a seasoned kefir maker. I was going to give up on water kefir altogether but read reviews on these grains and decided to give it one last shot. I bought the smaller size but the portion was so generous I have 2 batches going. The grains are healthy and plump. I was able to start making grains immediately. They are fermenting in 24 hours, we have more kefir than I expected! I'm so thankful I tried these as I had really missed this healthy beverage. This company knows what they are doing and are very helpful should you run into any troubleshooting issues.

Nick: Let me start out by saying that I am no water kefir novice. I've been brewing on and off for five years and have experimented with tons of different sugars, water types, minerals, fruits, etc etc. I have also read just about every resource out there on the subject. What can I say, I'm a big water kefir nerd!

I've purchased water kefir grains from several different sources in the past and I'm totally blown away by Florida Sun Kefir's grains. I've had them less than a week and they have already outperformed every other batch of water kefir grains I've purchased in the past (from other sellers). They are superior in the following ways:

1. Most kefir grains arrive in a "distressed state" and you have to baby them for a few weeks to get them to start making good kefir, and even longer to start multiplying. These plump babies started fizzing and multiplying the same day I received them! In 6 days they've about quadrupled in quantity, I kid you not. I have such an over abundance of kefir grains that I've been giving them away to neighbors and even feeding them to my dog (yes its safe to do that and its good for your four-legged friends too).
