Wotan: A sturdy grip with excellent balance! To be used 95% of the time on non-gluten home-baked products. It smoothly separated slice from loaf. It replaces a made in china monstrosity that is wobbley abd relatively useless compared to this Henckels tool!
The reviews mattered and doing some homework brought up a winning baking tool.

Katrina BKatrina B: I have a set of Henckel knives and somehow lost the bread knife. I ordered this one to replace it, but the blade is to large for the bread knife space in my block. It is a nice knife though and very sharp.
Edited: in answer to the question, "Is it serrated?" I have added a close-up picture of the blade. I still like how this knife cuts.
