Papa Bear: Blade handle is composite so it can go in the dishwasher if needed. I always hand wash the blade to minimize dulling. It fits great in the bamboo bread slicer board. Can pull through the slice without it leaving the guides. Sorry I didn’t buy it sooner. Makes slicing the wife’s home made sourdough fast and easy.

MSB: Serious teeth - watch out if you are cutting across any soft material (like countertops that are not supposed to be used for cutting boards, lol!) I liked mine so much that the next Christmas I bought for four nephews, two offspring, and two friends of offspring, all in their 20's, and they loved the knives, too!

George: The title says a lot. The only thing is that the handle is not black, as it appears in the photo. It is a gray color, so does not match the other knives in the knife block. Not a big deal, but I did notice it.
