The first one I got of this brand worked for many months, possibly a year, before the bulb burned out. Since it costs so much to replace the bulb, we decided to buy a whole new bug zapper. Sadly, this one either wasn’t being offered or I just couldn’t find it listed, so I bought a diffuser brand. That one burned out in about a month. It so long to get service from that company, that we had to order another new one. I was thankful to find this brand again. It’s sad that the replacement bulbs are so expensive, but this does seem to be a good product otherwise.

We have had a gnat problem all of a sudden and they have been pretty difficult to get rid of. I added this zap lamp to our arsenal and it works great. It works best at night when it is the only light on. It is downstairs while all of the bedrooms are upstairs. We have had it on for a week straight without any problems!

Works well for the most part however did not know that when that it would attract a colony of ants even when on. Went out on the porch to pull bug zapper away from the edge of the porch as we were getting a bad storm system and didn’t want it or the electrical cord drenched. I noticed there were ants crawling all over the zapper and surrounding areas. Turned the zapper on to see if it would quickly rid the ants off but it was little to no effect. Talked about disappointing. Threw it and the ant colony crawling in it out in the trash.
