However, I don't regret it. It's much easier to put on and remove compared to springs and it has held up to 100lbs without any issues. I haven't used more weight as the weight plates are too costly to buy but if they hold up like they are now then I'll be a very satisfied customer.

aRegularGuyaRegularGuy: I own a CrossFit gym and have purchased all sorts of bar collars, including metal clasping, plastic snapping, spring squeezing, and anything else I could find. This type seems to be the favorite of athletes. For the price, they are great - as good as the rogue brand plastic collars.
The collars will eventually get a little loose, but that is after six months of everyday use. After that they still work, but you will have to adjust them a little more often if you're dropping the barbell a lot (e.g., doing a WOD with many Olympic lifting reps). If you throw them into a basket they will sometimes crack from being thrown (actually, the rogue one was the first to crack).

N. Raphael Davis: For $13.00 I doubt these collars are going to hold onto a really whippy Oly bearing bar loaded with 175KG and not slip a little. That's fine with me. I deadlift, squat power clean, and Crossfit with them and they're WAYYYYYYYY better than the sping collars at the box. If you're doing serious Oly training and are working on HEAVY doubles and triples go get some OSO collars. For us mere mortals these are perfect. Do they slip? Yes a little. They're fast to readjust for me. I'm just into the 100kg (220lbs) level maybe around 130kg (286lbs) in olympic movements I'll reconsider. Also I try not to drop from above the shoulders. I guide the bar off my shoulders and step back. It also helps that my gym has virgin rubber bumpers (way less bounce than Hi Temps). Bumpers probably have a lot to do with slippage.
Just my .02.

jSanchezjSanchez: This is a review of the YYGIFT Olympic Collars. Bottom line a good product especially for the price (1/2 cheaper than other brands).
I bought these for my Olympic bar in my garage gym. I've only used spring collars at home but am familiar with them from the gym I visit. The problem with spring collars are that they tend to need a lot of readjusting especially if you drop weights so I decided to invest in a decent pair of collars.
These arrived on time and were as expected as you'll see in the pictures. I tested them immediately on my bar and they fit pretty snuggly on the bar. A few days after delivery, I tested their performance with weights. I dropped them from about knee height with a pair of 10 lb bumper plates. The results weren't what I was expecting. The collars held but still slid down the bar...like the spring collars. Granted the slide wasn't nearly as much but I was hoping for no movement. Because of that, I gave these a 4/5 stars.
If you don't plan on dropping your weights, then you really can't go wrong with this product. If you are, then, just be aware that you'll need to keep an eye on them sliding between drops.

Chuck Finley: These work just fine -- grip firmly, easier to put on and off than those big spring-type ones (and yes, I know it's weird to lift heavy barbells and still complain when the collars are too much work to squeeze). I don't throw things on the floor or otherwise abuse them, so I've had no issues with wear and tear. A user who treats them more roughly may have issues with the plastic construction.
