Adam Rooney: This kit comes with everything you need to install a simple and functional anchor trolley to your kayak. I have purchased kit twice and installed onto a sit-on-top and sit-in kayak. Both installations were easy and fairly identical. The only suggestion I would make is that if you are installing to an sit-in kayak, make sure you pick a safe spot to install the zigzag cleat and d-pads, because they are only self tapping screws and will be sticking through to the cockpit area. The kit comes with rubber covers for the exposed points of the screws, but I'm certain these will fall off sooner or later. So you are best to pick a location that is least likely to come in contact with your body while you are paddling. I picked good locations but will also likely drizzle hot glue over the exposed points as a more long term protection.

Scott O'Connell: If you plan on fishing in a kayak with any moving water this is a must have. i fish in a river with my kayak. without this set up i would be constantly irritated with position movement and bad angles to cast. with this i don't have a problem at all. love it. easy install and perfect product.

side note. i watched a video on youtube. this kid gets a retractable clothing line. about 14 dollars from homedepot. i ordered mine on amazon. take the line out and replace with para cord. attach the anchor and boom. i swear it is the best mod ive done to my kayak. makes droping anchor and positioning for the perfect cast soooo easy and enjoyable. it makes you want to use the set up. my only concern was the para cord and retractable clothing line box getting smelly or moldy due to the wet line. i simply pull all the line out and tie it off the the cleat given in this kit and let it air dry outside after use or ive placed it in the kayak as i have a fan on the kayak drying it after use. i tend to wipe and dry my stuff after every use.

Steven Clark: I highly recommend for installation on a kayak or canoe. I installed on my Pelican Strike kayak with great results the first time out of the gate. Installed very easy. I recommend watching the YouTube video about the product made by Yak Gear. The only thing I knock this down from 5 stars is the kit shows rivets coming with the kit, however none were included, instead stainless screws were. I prefer rivets where I can use them so I was lucky to still have a few extra on hand. Otherwise great kit, pulleys are good quality and include everything for an anchor system other than an anchor and the line attached to the anchor. Highly recommend.

Freddy Turbo: The Harken cheek blocks are top notch, the ball bearings are so smooth and spins with virtually no friction. The zig zag cleat could be more low profile, luckily I positioned it so it doesn't graze my paddle shaft or hand. I mounted the whole system just slightly above the waterline and below the gunnel on the port side since it's more natural for me to fish or cast on the starboard side, this should lessen the chance of the anchor and rope getting in the way of fishing. Had no need for the rivets and the eyelets for an anchor trolley system, I'm sure i'll find a use for them on my kayak. The hardware seems to be of good quality and corrosion resistant. Can't beat the price.

Kyle: Anchor trolley... If you anchor your kayak in any kind of wind or current, you will want one. There are a lot of kits out there, and most, if not all, will fit the bill. It's not that complicated. I can tell you though, that you would have to be doing something wrong to be disappointed with this kit.

The kit is inexpensive and includes everything you need except for your tools and some silicone sealant. It even includes the hog clips and shrink wrap for the non-adjustable end of the trolley line. All hardware included seems to be of good quality. I'll post an update if anything breaks.

Installation took me about an hour, but I could have gone quicker. I'm the measure five times, drill once kind of person.

I recommend you watch Yak Gear's installation video all the way through, then start it over. At each drilling/mounting step, pause the video and separate out the hardware pieces and drill bit sizes you need. (the video even tells you what size drill bits you need.) Then start the video over, and pause and perform each step in order. Bingo, you have an anchor trolley on your boat.
