The directions were generic and less than helpful. There are though plenty of "how to" YouTube videos even for my Crescent Litetackle kayak. After watching a couple videos the install took me less than 30mins. Took it on the river next day with a 6' yakgear pole and a grip anchor and it worked perfectly. It was solid.
