Marlon B.: I used these for building gundams and other plastic model kits. I didnt know how bad they were until i swapped to a budget set that bandai offers. for the same price you get a way better nipper but instead of tossing these i use them to clean up some 3d prints. Even as they dull they get the job done.

TiffanyTiffany: I ordered these Xuron flush cutters to begin my new venture in wire wrapped jewelry. They appear to be genuine Xuron brand and so far work very well. The blades very slightly overlap as they should and they cut fine gauge wire flat with just a tiny bur in the middle to sand off, which is normal for any flush cutter. I haven't cut anything larger than 20 gauge wire as I want to keep them in great shape for a long as possible. I also cut wire with the bottom or middle of the blades as much as possible and only snip tiny wires with the blade tips when necessary, again to keep them in good condition. Overall great cutters and I will absolutely buy more Xuron cutters and jewelry pliers in the future!

Sorteal: These are the best wire cutters I've ever used. They cut clean without crimping the wire. They cut easily with little effort and have stayed sharp for a very long time. You will not be disappointed in these cutters.

c. murphy: I use these for cutting non ferrous metals, mostly copper and silver and some beading material such as Fireline. I don't use mine on anything steel so that is probably why they last me a long time. With heavy use, I need to replace them every 2 - 3 years. For steel wire, I use some Home Depot tools I have marked specifically for use on steel. My metal files are also designated and labeled "F" and "NF".

Marv Fiebig: Very reliable for precise cuts

Moo: They do the job if you have nothing else, and pretty well at that. They certainly beat trying to slice the pieces off with a knife of just about any sort, though an exacto/art knife might work ok. Yes the blades aren't perfectly even, and if people read the packaging at all, they'd understand why. It has to do with dulling of the blades, not much else. I appreciate that these use a carbon steel, so the blades should stay sharp a lot longer.

The downfall in these cutters that I see for gunpla building is that they are quite thick, so you'll find with some pieces that the blades are pressed right up against the edge because it can't squeeze between the larger runner and piece you're trying to cut. The problem with this is because these cutters do strain the plastic some, you get whitening in the plastic that isn't appealing, and if you cut too close there's little you can do to clean it up. At least if you're able to cut further from the piece you can clean it up with an exacto blade.

These are great if you are on a tight budget and want to build your gunpla significantly faster and with less strain than cutting with a knife of some sort. Honestly though if you already...

Mike: Using this to build plastic models, they cut well, have a tenancy to slide to one side a bit. Overall, would recommend.

Justin Suh: First micro cutter I've had. Bought it on internet popularity over Gunpla building. Works great, I can see no reason I don't like it. Maybe if it had black handles? Definitely recommend for plastic model kits!

Hepha: was delivered on time but the product itself is so so. I would prefer the Tamiya brand cutter instead of Xuron even though the Tamiya is priced higher.

AL: While it seems small at first, these cutters fit nicely in your hand - doesn't matter if you have large hands or long fingers, the grips are gently curved to ergonomic precision. But since they ARE still small cutters, they are only meant for cutting small plastics and wires - misusing them on thick metal sheets or objects not meant for these 410 Micro-Shears would be unwise.

To give you a good idea of how these shears are, they are about 15 cm by 7 cm (6 in. x 2.5 in.), with slender, tapered tips great for reaching in tight/narrow spots. Hinge mechanism is by a flexible metal strip. Grips are like hardened silicone but they don't slip easily, which is great for hand sizes large and small.

Since I'm using these for model-building, I'd have to say they've been wonderful for cutting smaller gates and removing nibs. Ideally you'd want to cut anything smaller than 3 mm (or 1/8th inch) in diameter, or else it'll strain out your cutter. It was a struggle cutting anything above that spec. Beware if you're cutting a big piece of a gate and it's not connected to anything else - it WILL fly off. Otherwise, they cut nice and flush (for modelers, anyway) and are a pleasure to...
