a customer: I am 5'3 and 110lbs. Bought the small size and feel lost in it as it I was a kid wearing an adult coat. It is very light and as someone mentioned a bit plasticky but afterall designed for rain to so be expected. Just wished the sizing was better.

Janet McQuaid: You know when your camping and your tent gets wet and you touch the inside walls and they are damp. That is exactly what happens when this coat gets rained on. Really just a cheap tent made into a coat. 😟

LeilaLeila: I purchased this rain jacket in black for my dad’s funeral because rain was forecast for the entire week. On the day it was cool and damp with sporadic drizzling rain. We were outdoors throughout the military rites and Rite of Committal, and this jacket kept me dry enough, but heavy rain would have soaked through. It’s lightweight but provided a little warmth and wind protection as well. It has a bit of an a-line shape, which is great for us ladies with pear shaped figures. It’s a great length for rain coverage. I’m 5’4.5” and it hits below the knee. It’s not a true black, but more of a gray-black as you can see in the photo when compared to the rest of the black in my clothing. At first I thought they’d sent me the navy blue by mistake and I had to hold it up to other clothing items to determine the color.. There are a couple of issues, beginning with the hood. It’s weirdly huge and pointy in the back and makes you look like the grim reaper. It protects you from the elements, but you have to ask WHY anyone thought the pointy hood was a good idea?!?! I also wish it didn’t have the paisley print inside the jacket. It’s pretty but clashes with pretty much...

SaraSara: This jacket is quite thin, it's really only good as a rain jacket. For the positives, it's beautiful and well fitted. I love how the waist cinches and the lining is lovely.
Unfortunately the hood ruins it. It's enormous. I literally can't use it.. when I try, it falls in my face and obstructs my vision. I kept trying to think of some way to demonstrate how awful it is.. you could balance a cantaloupe on your head and cover it with that hood and there would still be space at the top. I didn't have a cantaloupe to demonstrate, but as you can see in the picture, I put a gallon jug of water on my head and the hood still covered it.
For me, that ruins the point of it. When I get a rain coat, I don't want to have my face and my hair soaking wet while my body is dry. I can't walk my dog with it because the hood obstructs my vision if I try to wear it. I could use an umbrella, but then why do I need the rain coat?
I would give it a 1 for construction alone, but it is otherwise a very pretty coat.
