I am using these inserts in conjunction with another product for the ball of my foot with my athletic wear. I do not know if it is recommended for athletic wear. I have an issue with my the ball of my right food and this shoe cushion, along with another product is taking care of the foot pain. Definately worth a try rather than figuring out what type of expensive athletic one would need.
