Ravin' Mad: I need this for my right foot that has a bunion. It is so bad that I cannot walk barefoot. I also like shoes with cushioning. Even so, only with this metatarsal pad stuck to the bottom of the shoe's insert, can I walk without pain. In fact I can walk miles and hike miles. It is that important.
So if this is your issue (I saw a pediatrist who defined it for me and recommended the pads), then this pad is for you. But don't stick it on your foot. Stick it on the shoe's insert. It will last for the life of the shoe.

BostonMaestro: I've been struggling with Metatarsal issues for years, especially around hikes that are longer than two and a half hours. As an avid hiker, that has been very limiting for me. These pads made things much better in one foot and held off the pain for a bit longer in the other. I will definitely continue using them, even if they give me only 30 or 60 minutes more of pain free hiking.

Some complain about difficulty in peeling off the coating, but it's really not so bad. You get used it. Sure, a tab would help, but I wouldn't avoid the product for that reason. The benefits outweigh that imperfection.

Lynn: For 4 months, I’ve had foot pain. I finally tried these pads. Almost INSTANTLY the pain was minimized and gone. Its important to place them correctly on the bottom on your foot.
As said in other reviews, taking off the sticker cover is hard. One recommended slightly slicing part of the cover with scissors. This works best.
Pumped I found these!! Been standing all day with it on and no pain at all. Good luck!

Lisa Segelquist: I like these in all my shoes after having a foot issue, but wow, the backing to take off the adhesive is super hard to get off. I asked my husband to help me with one and he was convinced that there was no adhesive layer and nothing to peel off, but I knew better since I had done it once before. They are worth it once you figure out how to get between the two layers!

Bruce C.: At first gave it a poor review but after trying other kinds realized I was wrong. The felt does not last the longest bit it's good if covered with a piece of duct tape. The other kinds being foam I thought would be better but actually flattened fast and were useless while I learmef the felt does a better job of not flattening.

It does the job and I came back and went back to this and changed my review after trying the alternatives.

The best part is that it's chamfered which is a big improvement over felt or foam ones that don't. A few days on these my metatarsal is back to normal. Happy feet happy life!

Wood: I've been using metadomes for a couple of years now but the ones I get from my podiatrist are extremely expensive, and I need them in all my shoes. I thought I'd give these a try, and although they are not as high as my 'proper' ones, they are giving me the support I need, even in my flamenco shoes, which allow me to dance without getting the pins and needles in my toes. I've very happy with them and will continue to purchase these from now on.
