William Zade: I was gifted a couple old Microsoft surface pro's that I was able to make work again by loading Pop!_OS Linux onto them. One of them however had a broken wifi card, and it was honestly much more hassle than it is worth to solder a new one in. This was only a few bucks, and was immediately detectable and functional for wifi. Definitely recommend for anyone that needs a simple wifi solution. On a side note, Pop!_OS is a freaking ideal upgrade for this type of device!

Sock: Works very well and it's insanely easy to use.
Just plug it in and run the driver installer, only thing to note is that you have to open the little wifi menu and click wifi 2 if you already have a driver running. I had to get this because my original driver was busted, this solves the issue easy and it runs very smoothly. Very worth the price.

Ernesto Hernandez: El controlador se instalo automáticamente en Windows 11 no tiene una muy grande potencia de señal pero por el tamaño tampoco tenemos que esperar mucho, cumple con lo prometido!

Dylan M.: When plugged in, internet keeps disconnecting resulting in really instable connection.

Mr P: This is a strange device, when plugging it in for the first time the device does not register in Windows as a network device. It first registers as a thumb drive and you have to install the drivers from the device before it works. I connected to my computer and assumed it registered as a network adapter. I have to reconnect it to realize that it was being seen as a thumb drive. But it was easy to get working once I installed the drivers, I a however giving it only 4 stars because the device was not instantly recognized and enabled as a network adapter automatically by window.

*B*: Wanted to upgrade built in wifi in my laptop. USB dongle seemed the way to go. Already had 1 USB dongle for wireless mouse, and didnt want another one hanging out of my laptop. Bought this as it does both WiFi and Bluetooth. Also bought a bluetooth mouse, to ditch the current wireless mouse and dongle.

Upon boot, Linux Mint 21.1 immediately recognized the bluetooth and I connected my mouse no problem. System wouldnt recognize the WiFi part though. After doing some reading, and seeing a driver isnt available in the repositories for this RealTek chipset, I downloaded and installed the rtl8821cu-dkms.deb driver. Rebooted, and the Wifi works fine. Connects at Max advertised rates of 150 on 2.4 and 434 on 5. I then shut it down and removed the built in mini-pci card for the built in wifi and bluetooth, to avoid confusion and interference.

Working fine in Mint 21.1

Junior: bought this as a cheap way to add wifi to an older gaming desktop. it does work, and instillation is as simple as plugging it into a usb port, and letting it do its thing. the only complaint i have is the range of the wifi is EXTREMELY limited, and it does not work well through walls, even thin ones in an old house built in the '40s. bars were only about half full approximately 30-40 foot away in the other room, and speed was not great either. i ended up going with a pcie wireless card that only cost a few dollars more, and the signal strength is much better, but this will work if you do not have the slots for a dedicated card, i would just try to set it up in the same room, as close to the router as you can, and if you have the pcie slot for a dedicated wifi card, and the knowhow to install one, just spend the $20-$25 and have a MUCH better experience.
