janvier25janvier25: I haven't used my violet yet, and I've read purple "breaks". This review is for *teal*. It was easy to use, did a nice job, though not as even as I expected. I dyed a cash-silk-merino and a cash-silk of similar colours at the same time and found it came out greener than I expected. I had to add Royal Blue, more to the CSM than the CS. It took a second dip to correct.
1 - test dye. It looked better at lower strength

3- 2nd dye

Baker Chik: I love purple and this is perfect for when I want to make purple desserts. Works best for my light and airy macaron batter to give just the right amount of colour to create lavender or lilac shades and if you use more you’ll get a lovely deep violet shade. I’ve used it in cake batters, buttercream icing, macaron and meringue batter and whip cream. It doesn’t add any flavour which is good and it’s easy to use if you just dip a toothpick inside to pull out a bit of colour at a time to drop into your batters. Don’t use too much all at once (especially in macaron or meringue batters or it might cause them to deflate) just get a bit out to start and add it to whatever you’re making and see how the colour turns out. Then gradually add more. Great value, this tiny container should last anyone a while.

Edelweiss CapuchinoEdelweiss Capuchino: I’m not a pro in baking and it’s my first time to make frosting. My daughter will have her party on Saturday and she wants purple cupcakes. I though of doing it myself instead of buying expensive cupcakes. So I bought a $2 cupcake mix with frosting included and I thought of just putting a purple colour. So I searched for one and found this $3 purple colour icing gel. I only need a couple of drops just to make this nice purple colour. And viola! It turned out really pretty! My daughter loved it! I now feel like a professional patissier! LOL

Linda DeWitt: This is the only paste coloring I use. The colors are true and don't change the consistency of my frosting. The order came very quickly and I already used up a jar making purple velvet cupcakes!
