Get ready to enjoy delicious homemade ice cream in no time!Mrs. R: This machine is wonderful. It’s NOT as cold as the commercial ice pans so it takes a bit longer to get to the rolling stage, but it sure is fun. My husband is diabetic, so I make his with a bit of a banana and some strawberries or peaches and he can’t tell that there is no ice cream in it! Make sure you let the pan get plenty cold. Says 10 minutes but I’d let it go longer to be really cold.

Ryan E. SchutteRyan E. Schutte: I got this about a month ago and have used it about a dozen times now. I make a batch of the mix, which is enough for about 3 times, and keep it in the fridge. It only take a few minutes for it to cool to temperature to be ready to use and a few more minutes to make the ice cream, so I can have my own homemade ice cream of whatever flavor in less than 10 minutes.
It took a little practice to figure out exactly what to do. A little add-in goes a long way. The first time I made it, I think I added a few too many add-ins (banana, strawberries & pineapple) and it didn't look as nice as my later batches because it was too soft. I don't know if it was too much of the add-ins, or not letting it freeze long enough. I have made the same "banana split" flavor two more times using a little less of each item and it has come out great.
I did bend one of my paddles right at the handle the first time that I used it, so the paddles might be a little "soft" or cheap. It wasn't enough to break it, but it concerned me. Since then I have been more careful and haven't had any problems with bending it more and it hasn't broken. I think it may just be a bit of a learning curve and I...

once n a while: Amazing little rolled ice cream maker. We’d been wanting to get a rolled ice cream maker but the only ones we could find were the expensive industrial types. Found this and ordered immediately.
It’s very quiet and cools down quickly. It only takes 120 watts and runs for about 5-8 minutes per batch. Means we can use the generator or battery system when dry camping and still have rolled ice cream!
We put it to work after letting it sit for 24 hours when we got it home. It says to allow at least 2 hours after you move or incline it but I waited a whole day to be safe. I’m sure it was not given any respect during shipping and likely got turned upside down and/or laid on its side.
It is packaged really well - lots of padding and cushion. However I would strongly recommend waiting 24 hours after you get it set upright before plugging it in and using it.
Machine is very high quality and very sleek. I’m extremely happy with it.

Bwatching: This little maker is great!! First be for use after unpacking admire the stainless steel pan, because after you start slinging ice cream the surface will get scratch patterns but each scratch represents making Ice cream for someone you love (even if that someone is yourself). After the cool down period finished and the light turned green I was off. I used a cooked Vanilla custard base that was refrigerated. It’s a unique way to make Ice cream because of all the fresh mix-ins you can do I made three servings of strawberry one serving of blueberry and raspberry mix and two servings of heath bar.
Cleaning in between was fairly simple, just scrape off the remains of the previous batch.
Using a half cup of this particular custard base seemed to be the best balance. I do have to perfect my rolling technique, the heath bar seemed also to be the most difficult to roll so that one ended up as a layered presentation. As I was making these made to order delights my base did start to warm up but the freezer table handled it like a champ and it just took an extra minute or two compared when the ice cream base was right out of the fridge. I had the machine going not stop, and out of the...
