The Wheeler Professional Laser Bore Sighter is an ideal choice for hunters and gunsmiths alike. This bore sighter is equipped with a magnetic connection that quickly and securely attaches to the muzzle of the gun, making scope mounting, gunsmithing, and maintenance easier than ever. It also features a laser module for reliable performance and a machined aluminum body with a soft rubber over the casing for extended durability. With its accuracy, battery life, build quality, and customer support, this bore sighter is one of the best on the market.Shawn Lamothe: This saves a lot of ammo. I used it in the day light at about 50 yards to dial in my scope. And with the reflective target supplied I was able to see the target.

Terry D: Used this for adding and moving some optics around. Worked extremely well.
I took my three guns to the range having used the Wheeler Laser Bore sighter at the house. All three were spot on. The only real adjustment I needed to make was to adjust my Zero distance ( they allwere AR style and have a large bore-axis to sight-axis distance.
I believe this will pay for itself in short order at the price of ammo these days.
I can also use this for quick zero confirmation prior to or on trips. I checked it on a couple of my rifles that I knew were sighted in correctly and it confirmed that the Wheeler Lase Bore Sighter works well ( works on my stainless barrel rifles too - there is enough ferrous material to make them magnetic enough for this to work.)

Crestview: I’ve used every method of boresighting there is. Many are not bad. Some are junk. This one is absolutely hands down the best I’ve ever used. I purchased it a while back and just got around to using it. Boresighted two new rifles at about 20 yards a while back when I mounted scopes. Just went to shoot. Both rifles dead on left to right and about 4” high. If I’d been more precise at 20 yards it probably would have put me dead on at 100. I didn't expect that and maybe it’s unusual but I was thoroughly impressed.

DBda2nd: I’ve been looking at this for about a year now, and when it went on sale I couldn’t resist grabbing it. So far, I have nothing but positive things to say about it. The green laser dot stays small enough to be accurate at 25-30 yards, and the magnet that holds it on the barrel is strong. I especially like the magnetic attachment because most of my bigger caliber rifles have muzzle brakes on them which make using an inside the barrel laser almost impossible to align correctly. I’ve not had any issues getting on paper at 50-100 yards after bore sighting with this laser. I highly recommend this product.

MaxFox: I don’t how I lived without this tool. It is visible in any light and long distance as well. I got green laser.
I use it all the time. Note, it is magnetically attached to the muzzle of a weapon. If you have a muzzle break made of non magnetic material such as aluminium alloy it will not work.

Brian: I found the magnet weak. A light bump it fell off. At 100 meters it was a 1 inch dot. But mostly for me it was not accurate at all. It doesn’t line up with the bore. Ya its on the barrel. But if you dont center it exactly ,it wil be off. To me thats missing the hole point of a bore sight. You want it as accurate as possible. I am returning it and trying something else. Not what i wanted at all.

Chace: Returned a previous bore sighter that went inside the barrel because the laser simply didn’t last long enough with the small cell battery. This sighter uses a larger battery and has been dropped more times than I can count without the laser being thrown off or the sighter being damaged. This thing is durable.
Only complaint is the magnet is somewhat weak and If you don’t hold it on the barrel as you set up or aren’t somewhat gentle the sight will fall off the end of the barrel entirely.
I’ve yet to be able to test my rifle and shotgun at the range after laser bore sighting to see how close it gets me on paper or to target but so far so good!

Proud Single Dad: Overview
This is not intended to zero you (even at 25 meters). It is just intended to get you on paper...before you go through the process of dialing in.
We've all been in a situation where you are so far off...your point of aim is anyone's guess. This is a simple solution to get you on paper, and eliminate the frustration and embarrassment of "shooting in the dark"
I have used it on, red dots, low power scopes (under 9 power) , high power scopes (15 power or higher) and a variety of iron sights...with great success. They provide clear instructions on using at 25 meters.
What I have learned. The unit does not have to be centered on the muzzle crown. If it's off by a cm...you will be about 1 cm off center getting on paper at 25. The unit is designed around the assumption you have perfect geometry on your muzzle. That should not be an issue for most firearms. I even used it on an IPSC Open Gun...where the attachment point is a barrel comp...and it worked fine.
It's a little pricey...
I have the red version...with no issues using it to bore sight in red dot sights.
Works best in overcast conditions, and with reflective targets. You...

David: The Wheeler Pro Sight seems to be very accurate. I have tried other bore sights in the past which were caliber specific and never had much luck with results. This sight is easy to use and the result were better excellent. Very good quality product. I got the green laser. I felt the green had some advantages over the red especially when bore sighting red dot scopes or anything with a red reticle.
Here is how I found as the best way to use the bore sight:
I have an area in my house with a long hallway and was able to set up a small portable table with clear line of sight at 16 yards. In reality if you can get the target and rifle about 25 yards that would be more ideal, but 16 yards was the best I could do indoors.
The first optic I mounted was a Sig red dot. With the red dot turned off, I held the rifle in my normal comfortable shooting position and moved the optic along the Pic-rail until the eye relief was in a comfortable position. This went on a .40 pistol carbine. The second optic mounted was an ACOG non led 3.5X scope. This was going on a 308 AR10 style rifle. After both optic were secure on the rifles then I began the bore sighting process. First I did...

Guitar Player: I have been using this bore sighter for a couple of months and I find that I like it better than my arbor style devices, especially for inline muzzleloaders. It is quick and easy to use and it gets me on paper easily. I always do final sighting at the range. It was more expensive than I had expected but it is robust and heavy duty.
