Leepa: It was easy enough to install. There is not a smooth transition from one speed to the other. The slider often sticks and with more force to slide it, I often end up advancing 2 speeds. The settings are numbered from 1 to 4 but oddly, #1 is the fastest and #4 is the slowest speed. Confusing for my guests.

When I opened the package the not only was the switch not in its box but it was missing the cover that comes with it, there was no paperwork that usually comes in the box with the switch, and you could easily tell that the switch had been used!

Jever: We bought this ceiling fan control to work with our Amazon basics fans ASIN B08PC9NCSQ that come with a big clunky 1970's wall switch. It works well and blends in with our panel of other wall switches. The only complaint is the switch is stiff and doesn't smoothly slide from 1 speed to the next. The other odd thing is speed 1 is the fastest so to turn the fan on slow, you have to start fast, to go through 1, 2, 3, then slow at 4. Not a major big deal but seems backwards.

Second Wind: First off it works but the slide switch has two issues. One is the speed control numbering is reverse from the norm were 4 is lowest and 1 is highest, strange but doable. Because of this I thought that somehow the wiring was wrong so I reinstalled it by reversing the wires, however, that did not help.

The other issue with the slide switch is the operation. The stops between speeds is terrible and difficult to set, cheap would be the operative word here. I've installed dozens of fan control switches and all operated smooth as butter-not this one.

Minor issue is the manufacturers name on the switch. Seems totally unnecessary imo and looks tacky.

Bottom line is it works for my purposes in an investment property, but had I'd known the issues beforehand I would have spent more to get a better switch.
