Only 2 issues:
1. The faceplate in the item description is not what arrives—see picture.
2. It’s a fairly deep switch. If you have a shallow box in the wall with a lot of wires it’s a challenge to get it in. Had to order a deep faceplate to work around that issue.
But overall it works very well and even has an adjustable low setting—didn’t expect that.

REG: I bought this to adjust the speed of an Air Vent model ASRHPWW roof mount attic fan. The Air Vent motor is a PSC motor rated for 4.3 amps at 120 volts with an RPM of 1550. I bought the 6 amp control for a greater service factor. I first tested the motor without the control. Wired direct, the fan pulled 3.43 amps with an incoming voltage of 121.5. I checked the fan RPM with a laser tach and it ran at 1670 RPM. I then installed the KBWC-16K control. At full speed, fully CCW, the motor pulled 3.43 amps. Incoming supply voltage remained at 121.5. The fan was spinning at 1657 RPM. I adjusted the control fully CW. The amp draw remained 3.43. The RPM dropped to 1248. I wanted the fan to operate slower so I adjusted the trim pot on the front until the slow speed was 830 RPM. The amp draw remained at 3.43. With the dial at the mid-speed setting, the amp draw was 3.43 and the fan speed was 1220. The amp draw was constant at 3.43 through the entire speed range. The fan motor heated up, but was below the rated temperature rise. There was a harmonic hum. At full speed it was barely noticeable due to the air turbulence noise. At the 830 RPM speed the hum was more noticeable because the air...

ISAAC SMITH: This product looks as described in photo. It was easy to install and it works as it should. However, the product information in the listing is vague. I was concern at the switch have a ground wire, which it does. I am using this switch to operate my kitchen exhaust fan. And it works well with the variable speed.

Alfonzo's Amazon prime directive: These are designed for shaded pole fan motors (brushless).
I recently "upgraded" the squirrel cage fan on my pellet stove to much larger one... and "over did it" in the process. The heat exchanger couldn't handle all the air the larger fan was generating and as a result, the fan was cavitating and making this obnoxious high-pitched sonic howl... So contemplating several mechanical options to reduce fan output, I decided to try this and it worked great! I dialed back the RPMs about 30% and found a sweet spot with zero resonance and still plenty of air flow...
I mounted this in a plastic junction box with male/female pigtail cords in and out- So its "in line" and before the blower which plugs in. The box is stuck to the wall with velcro tape, behind the stove. Not exactly a fashion statement but simple and functional.
One nice feature being the rotary knob has an OFF detent that goes to 100% full... then lowers. Opposite a conventional dimmer switch where OFF to ON is max low then ramps upward. This provides max motor torque on start up. Additionally, there is a trim pot accessible through the front plate that can be used to limit MINIMUM Rpm.... I played with...
