Got this pad just before our section hike on AT. The pad is exactly as its specifications and description. Very easy to inflate and deflate, I had no issues in the field while setting up my sleeping arrangements. I think it took only 10 - 13 full breaths for me to inflate it to a pretty hard cushioning. The 2-valve system (Outer valve is a normal simple one, and the inner valve is 1-way that allows air only inward) is great for initial inflation and then adjusting to the desired level of cushioning. Wrapping it up next morning was a breeze as well. As for the comfort, I was pleasantly surprised how well it cushioned the ground. I did not feel any roots, slightly protruding rocks or small undulations in the ground, which are typical on any campsite. It perfectly evened out the ground to create a comfortable sleeping surface. I had no issues with losing any air in the middle of the night, in spite of my twisting and turning throughout the night. I had a restless partner on my hike, who ensured I didn't get 6 hrs of dreamless that I was hoping for. But the pad was definitely never a factor in any kind of...

Kindle Customer: Here's what I wanted in a sleeping pad: inflatable, light, comfortable, warm and budget-friendly. Initially, I looked at insulated pads, but couldn't make the $100+ prices fit within my budget. Most budget inflatable sleeping pads have zero insulation (R-value - 1.x) and appear to be glorified pool floats. The Wellax Ultralight sleeping pad appeared to hit all of my requirements, including a modest 2.1 R-value.
"Unboxing":
I received the sleeping pad in a protected envelope and like most reviews, noted the small pack size and its light weight. Following the instructions, inflated the pad (took me 10 breaths) and allowed to sit overnight. Initially, I liked the width and feel of the pad on a carpeted floor. The pad's fabric felt like a windbreaker type material and was comfortable next to my skin. The next day, the pad deflated quickly and easily packed into its carry bag. For extended storage, the manufacturer recommends storing unrolled with the valves open.
Testing:
I picked a night to test the sleeping pad where there was no chance of rain and cooler temps close to what I would find when I'm backpacking. I inflated the pad, set my 20-degree bag on top,...

Vanessa M. Miller: We just couldn’t take sleeping on the ground once we passed our 20’s and from that point forward we have struggled to find a sleeping option for family of 5 people and 3 dogs for our camping trips. Tried air mattresses- bulky, unreliable, heavy, a pain to inflate in the wilderness. We then moved to memory foam pads- heavy, bulky, rip easily, expensive, and they soak up the dirt and moisture from the camp. We have finally found our answer with these Wellax sleeping pads! I just happened to see a demo in a store of another brand that was much more expensive and decided to look on amazon for something similar. They truly do pad the ground to make you comfortable. I woke up not sore at all and we sleep in a tent on the bare hard ground, no grass or padding. They were easy to inflate, took less than 3 minutes per pad. Even quicker for deflation and they fold up super compact into their storage pouch. No brain-teasing origami project to get it to fit back in like most products.
I really like the special valve that helps you just add or remove a little air easily without opening up the big valve. You do have to make sure to push the valve until it clicks to make sure it all...

MOna: thought about saving by staying at the airport in JFK overnight but couldn t sleep as the floor was cold and there was a bum somewhere; however the mattress was comfortable to sit or sleep on although if you fold it together into a much thicker mattress to sit on it s heavenly but very slippery if your putting on on slippery tiles for example. The nice thing i liked also is that you can fold the top to make it support your neck as a pillow. It does inflate and deflate easily thanks to the valve mechanism and is light indeed as you can even flatten it and tuck it in a carry on like clothes
