Scott BergerScott Berger: Ran out of wire mid project and my normal go to wouldn't arrive quick enough so I tried this stuff. It welds pretty good for 75% of the time but seems very dirty and I have gotten pinholes in almost every weld since switching. For comparison, I used 2lbs of my old wire on the same steel and project doing the exact same cleaning and prep and didn't have a single blow through. Nothing on this project has changed but the wire halfway through. Seems like batch issues so roll the dice on if you get a good roll or not

Sean mudry: I ordered this product and arrived in 2 days. The spool of wire was packed very well. Double boxed with thick padding all around it. I have only been using it for a day but appears to work and feed well through my machine. This wire cost a few dollars more than PGN Bearings but since they packed it so well it was worth it. I previously ordered through PGN Bearings and they didn't pack it well. It arrived unusable and I had to send it back for a refund. Welding City now has my business. Thank you!

BossBill: The wire itself is fine. However, the item is very heavy and the metal wire is on a plastic spool. Amazon just throws the vendor's box into a larger box with puff air pillows. Yeah, that's not going to work. What will happen is that every time the outer box is moved the inside box with the roll of wire slams against the outer box. The inertia of this slams the entire box against anything hard and the plastic spool cracks.
A few more times and the spool breaks rendering the roll useless.
Had to return it the first time (good return policy!) and the next box fared a bit better, but I still had to glue the plastic to keep the wire inside the roll.
I've had this issue with other heavy items just thrown onto a bigger Amazon box. You must keep the inner box from sliding or this double boxing does nothing.
