Fellowhawk: I've used all the brand name wires very the years but this is by far the best I've ever used. Low spatter and welds are beautiful. Won't buy any other brand from here on out. Great quality, strong, consistent welds and great price.

Nychelle Rodriguez: So I've used old school harbor freight wire, the newer Vulcan wire and Lincoln flux core wire. Honestly yes welder wire works better. Arc just seems to be more smooth, it seems to be more respondent to setting changes when making small adjustments ( all wire responds well to bigger adjustments). There seems to be a little less spatter too. It comes packaged like it's hermetically sealed so perhaps this is why the wire acts better. Going to try blue demon wire next, if not I'll stick with this. The price is outstanding!

I had just about giving up on flux core welding in general and then I happen to read a review of a yes welder and so I bought one and then I just spur up the moment decided to buy the yes welder flux core wire. And I really think the wire is what has made the biggest difference I don't exactly know what they do differently then say Lincoln or Vulcan from harbor freight, but you can visually see the difference. The yes well there is just shinier while it's still on the spool. Anyway actually using this wire is producing much nicer welds. There is legitimately way way less slag than with other brands that I have tried. And also the welds just look nicer they look like they have a little bit better penetration and definitely way better flow.
Yes Welder has made a believer out of me. For about $110 I got a 130amp flux core / stick welder and the best flux core wire I've ever used. That's pretty hard to be.

Finnish_line: I am happily surprised that there is a big difference between welding wire. I bought a name brand welder and got a number of supplies, including a spool of flux-core welding wire with it. I prefer gas fed MIG but I get a lot of wind around here and it's tough to waste gas trying to get a good weld. The wire I got with the welder was what I've always heard about flux-core, it works but there is a lot of spatter and smoky. I saw an article saying this yes weld was far superior and while skeptical, the price was competitive so I grabbed a roll. The spool was well packed with both a sealed mylar bag and an anti-corrosion paper around the spool. The wire feeds well in the machine, but where is shines is the work. Strikes a very easy and stable arc, less than half the smoke of its competition, almost no spatter and easy clean up. While it's not as perfect as its gas-fed cousin, the quality of the weld and ease of use has made me leave the roll in the machine, cuz' I'm gonna use this roll while i give away the name-brand version that looks the same to the naked eye, but is shamed by how well this wire works. Grab a roll, it is so worth it.
