Waterdrop Remineralization Filter - Add Essential Minerals to RO Water for Optimal Health

KENT ERICKSON: The difference between this and the non mineralizing filter is very subtle. I detect a slight difference in taste and a slightly different mouthfeel but it is nothing dramatic. The filter isn't expensive but it is way pricier than the alternative. I am using it in a Watts Premiere system and the instructions are written for a Waterdrop system so the requirement to flush it with 30 gallons of water does not apply. I just flushed it with one tank of RO water and it came out clear.

Dave72: Leí varios artículos en los que se recomendaba el uso de un filtro de remineralización con aquellos sistemas de ósmosis inversa que no lo incluyesen.
No puedo comparar porque lo instalé desde el primer momento, pero el gusto del agua del grifo en Valencia ahora es buenísimo. Nada que envidiar a cualquier agua embotellada de calidad.
La instalación es muy sencilla, aunque hay que prestar atención porque sólo tiene un sentido de funcionamiento que viene marcado en las tomas de entrada y salida de agua.

Roya: I use reverse osmosis for filtering water and thus is a great addition to add the minerals back in my water. Easy to install and lasts for about a year.

Eric M.: I use my Apec 5 stage RO system for beer brewing water, but wanted to add minerals back in, so I can also drink the water and skip bottled water. I added some splitters and shut off valves from the RO system so that I can bypass the minerals to get straight RO water for brewing or direct it through the mineral filter for drinking. The pH for the straight RO water is 6.5 and after passing through the minerals (even at a high flow rate from the tank) is 8.3. I haven't gotten my water tested with the mineral filter to see the actual mineral content it's imparting but it tastes good and the pH is more alkaline

Blake Darling: This filter took less than 5 minutes to install and drastically improved the quality of the flavor coming from my reverse osmosis system. The water tastes better than premium bottled water, in my opinion. I have probably put about 100 gallons through this filter (rough estimate) and it seems like it’s almost time to replace the filter. There is no indicator on the filter, but I have noticed a slight change in the flavor closer to the original RO flavor.

Opal: EL agua del equipo de ósmosis tiene mineralización demasiado débil para mi gusto, y el típico sabor ligeramente ácido del agua de baja mineralización. He añadido este filtro para corregir el sabor y conseguir un agua con más mineralización.
Por el momento sólo puedo decir que la instalación es extremadamente fácil: los extremos de entrada y salida están rotulados y sólo hay que cortar el tubo que va al grifo de dispensación e interponer el filtro entre el equipo de ósmosis y el grifo. Lleva incluido un pequeño clip con tornillo para fijarlo en una pared del armario aunque podría dejarse suelto. Tras la instalación sólo ha subido el TDS del agua en unas 20ppm (de 60 a 80, aprox) pero sí he notado un sabor más neutro en el agua. Posiblemente suba más la mineralización con el uso, ya que 80ppm me sigue pareciendo algo bajo.
