Güerito: For my work anniversary of 5 years I chose a gift from a catalog. Being a handheld massage gun (firsthealth brand?) well it’s not bad but it is not very powerful. I usually workout a lot so I love to use it but hate when battery dies and hate when it’s not strong enough. So I got the wahl thinking since it’s corded it will
Be more powerful. I was wrong. I’m using them side by side and feel a very negligible increase in power from the Wahl. Not enough for me to be excited to replace the freebie. Unfortunately I will return this and look again. Does seem like a solid unit tho. May work for others.

Michael Sokolowski: Great little hand massager. You’ll figure out which 2 additions you like the most and the rest will go into a drawer you never open again. That said, the thing does what it says it’ll do. It’s wired which ends up being a good thing. The power is strong and consistent and you don’t have to worry about the battery running out on you.

MOMO: *Update* - Well one day after writing my review, it broke again, I hear the screw rattling around... So, I will go forward with returning the broken unit, there are very poorly manufactured. After posting my photos I noticed MANY MANY others with the same issue. Perhaps Wahl will either make some changes or discontinue this product.

I bought this massager and it didn't last long before I heard something rattling inside, then shortly after that it broke, So I ordered a return/replacement. I was very cautious using the replacement, not a lot of pressure, etc... It only lasted a couple days before it did the same. SO, I took that one apart and found that there is a large screw that had fallen out which holds the cam on the motor (pictures attached). Still had the first one and turned out to be the exact same issue.

I fixed them both and have decided to keep both, will update this review if they start falling apart again.

Thing I like, this massager is a bit slower and not as intense as some of the other ones I own. Something I dislike is that it's easy to hit the speed control wheel when you're trying to get your back (hits your shoulder for example...

mike: I wanted a decent percussion massager hat wouldn’t break the bank. I ordered $70-$120 price between 3 different units.

This one felt confortable but I wasn’t getting the strong, deep, penetrating vibration I was looking for.

Also, after using it twice it began to rattle internally, sounding like a part broke and stopped vibrating altogether. It had a defect and the return process was easy enough.
Unfortunately it did not make the cut.

Ended up with a gun style and I love it.

Essdee: I find the size cumbersome. if it were a hand held size I would have better maneuverability but I also wouldn't be able to reach every where. I understand that but it doesn't feel balanced in the hand. Also, I really wish it came with a carry bag so all the pieces and body could be easily stored together. Big miss there. The variable speed is excellent. the interchangeable heads are perfect and well chose,. I can concentrate on those pesky spots beside the spine, or go with the flatter head for large areas. Overall, I wish someone was around to do it for me but this is the second best option.

Paul Tichonczuk: I didn't know if I would be into having one of these, so I bought a less expensive unit. These type of massagers can go for 10x this price.

Well, I have to say I like it. However, now that I have this, I'm looking for something more powerful. This is ok for massaging the shoulder and upper back. Especially because of its long curved shape.

Ethan A. Winning: I hike, or I should say that, up until 18 months ago I hiked. These were decent sized hills with 200 to 1,000 foot ascents on relatively steep trails. Then, after losing some cardiac function - and regaining - every hike and even some walks would result in painful trapezius (shoulder) muscles and two muscles in the neck that allow you to hold your head up and turn from side to side. Aside from the pains and aches, it was as though my head weighed 50 pounds. This of course affected my stamina, and my doc finally recommended physical therapy (PT). I hate PT; that's why he held off pushing it.

Anyway, PT really worked. I'm hiking again, BUT that doesn't mean that AFTER a 5 mile hike, my shoulders and neck aren't uncomfortable. I'm no spring chicken. Considering that the physical therapist was using deep percussion and regular massage, I asked her what she thought of using a deep tissue massager, showed her the specs for this one, and she said she thought it would be a good adjunct to my twice-a-week PT.

This 4290-300 does the trick, and helps with blood flow to those muscles, the lack of which causes much of the weakness and aching. It also just feels good, and much as...
