~Cat~: Last year, I noticed a baby squirrel at work without any adults helping it to find food. 'She' (I found out later) looked lost and very hungry. Her mom was likely taken by a bird of prey. I bought a bag of this stuff and sprinkled it around the tree she was living in so she could find it at sunrise. It worked perfectly. She learned to forage for food on her own. This stuff was enough to keep her healthy as she grew. Eventually, she figured out it was me leaving it down for her. Can't fool a squirrel for long! hehe Today she is doing great and still enjoys the occasional treats and raw peanuts that get tossed out.

A. Gundrum: I've been subscribed to 2 bags and while I am pleased with the product, it would be a much better product if the corn were not whole kernel corn.
I always have issues with just the whole kernel corn left over on the ground all around the feeders. The next issue is the squirrels bury the whole kernel corn. I can't tell you how many sprouted corn stalks I've had to pull.
The time I received two bags with cracked corn this problem went away and the only think left around the feeders were sunflower shells which are easily put into the compost.
It would be great if this product only contained cracked corn. Whole kernel corn is wasting my money to pay for filler weight which is thrown away in the end after polluting the ground.
