Ripon Princess: I think he pushes it off the rest of his less nutritious bird seed mix, but the vet said it's good for him so I spend extra just in case he accidentally eats some.

Thunderfoot: My Quaker parrot is 26 years old and was getting slow at flight and moody. Thought it was just his age. I changed from Harrison’s Adult Lifetime food to their High Potency food and was completely surprised the next day. He was on top of his cage full flight hanging on like he was going to fly out of the front porch with the cage plus his mood is loving again and not grouchy. We both are really happy again. I was worried he was on his last leg, so to speak. This is a week later and his plumage is beautiful again. Thank you to Harrison’s High Potency Bird food. 🦜 😅

Courtney ClarkCourtney Clark: For most of my birds life he has been on Zupreem bird pellet (with fresh fruits and veggies as well) but I made the switch to Harrison’s birds food and I have seen a huge improvement in my birds beak and feathers! Before he would always have pin feathers (he is not a baby) and they would be sensitive to him. I switched to this food and after 1-2 bags I saw a huge improvement ( you can see in the photo too! ) no pin feathers and his beak is completely smooth. He looks fantastic! I can only image how much better he feels too. If you’re thinking about switching I highly recommend you do it because all birds deserve a great diet. He takes awhile to go through this bag so it lasts decently. This is not a paid review nor was I asked or approached to write one. I really believe this is quality stuff and when I can visually see an improvement this great, I think that’s worth writing a review.

d_nice: Harrison's organic pellets (whether High Potency or Adult Lifetime) are probably THE healthiest and overall best possible main food source for captive parrots/birds. No need to worry about the eventual effects of dyes, pesticides or other nasty chemicals that can harm your bird.

Let me just say though... if you have a parrot who has been living off an all-seed / seed mix diet, he or she will in all likelihood NOT like this food right away. The number one most likely reason: SUGAR. Sugar is proven to be, at least in humans, a MOOD-ALTERING SUBSTANCE, like white flour and caffeine. I say, why would it be much different for parrots? My theory is that parrots can be addicted and develop a tolerance for sugar just like we humans can. Thankfully, Harrison's organic pellets, unlike MANY other 'healthy' pellet brands, have NO added sugar.

So, like I said, let's say you own a parrot who has been living off a high-fat, high-sugar diet. The best method of diet conversion, in my humble opinion, is GRADUAL.
