Annakay: I purchased these because two of my cats were fighting and one had gotten a wond that wasn't healing. I was also tired of bleeding every time I broke up a cat fight. I had already place caps on their claws when I got these. One kitty was spending a lot of time pulling them off so I needed a supply. These are not the same as the name brand ones but they do the job. I unfortunately got a mix of medium and large caps that are bigger than the medium caps I was using to start. My other caps were clear and it was hard to check to see how many were pulled off so I prefer the colors. I did have some trouble with them staying on long enough to set. Two of my cats pulled away and had a glue covered claw come in contact with fur and skin. I am mostly writing this review to say that this is not the end of the world and it was likely due to the cap being a bit to big if it is a problem with the product at all. I used cooking oil and a pair of sewing scissors to free the claw from the glue and my cats are fine. I have also found that you should not trim too much of the claw. It keeps the cap from going on too far and when the claw sheds it will shed thinner layers and it is less likely to go...

My kitty has never minded getting her nails trimmed but it doesn't last long because we have lots of scratch toys to derter from furniture. Having kids who love her laying on their lap and her being very kneedy and happy nearly 24/7 we needed something that lasted longer and kept the kids (and furniture) safe before hubs excited her(only kidding). Declawing is not an option (we feel it's inhumane).

My kitty is a small 8.5lb smokey. I bought smalls at first based on the recommended sizes in the description and they were WAY too big. Returned them for xs and they were purrrfect. Did a fancy pattern because WHY NOT!? She hasn't tried to chew them off but she has played all over the carpeted/tiled/wood floors without any coming lose.

Trinity Barnhill: I ordered these for my cat after I realized she was scratching a hole into the side of the couch. The application process definitely has a learning curve, but I got the hang of it after a few tries. A few caps have stayed on a long time, but this could be a user error, as I used too much glue the first time I applied them. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a declawing alternative!
