shrimp: I work with dogs for a living, so I've used these a lot in the past 2 years (I use them for tiny puppy nails and for some small dogs), and they're still great! I don't know why I'm only just now writing a review, but better late than never I guess lol.

2WheelTravlr: I always hated using the regular guillotine-style clippers on my cats, if they pulled away at the wrong time the captured claw would be painfully yanked. It was also fussy trying to slot a nail into the small hole if the cat struggled.

These scissor-style clippers are effortless to use, make trimming even the most ornery cat's claws a breeze, and take me less than half the time it used to with my old trimmers.

Stella: Used this on a 9-week rescue kitten - worked a treat from day one!! I was a first-time cat nail trimmer and was a little nervous about the process (I've had dogs before and they HATED it). My hot tip - if you have the patience, go down the patient, gentle, stress-free and loving route.

In the week leading up to the grooming, I had bonding sessions with her, gently coaxing out her paws and practising pinching her toes while she was drowsy or grooming, so that we would both get used to it. If she yanked away, I followed or let go. After the clippers arrived, I had her in my lap and used them on a stick of dried spaghetti, again so that she would get used to the look and sound of the clippers.

I waited until she was falling asleep, just waking up, or busy grooming after meals, and seized these moments to get in there and get the job done. The snippers worked so well that she didn't feel it or even care most of the time. (As it turned out, snipping spaghetti was actually harder and louder than snipping her actual nails.)
