Amazon Customer: Bought for a parent and they've had it for a few months now. It feels more powerful than what the generic retail store brand versions offer. Also fills up the tire at a much faster rate.

finochio: These are a great tool to have when you don't have easy access to tire air. Easy to use. A great safety tool to keep in the car--I recommend one for everyone. Heavy duty construction. We had another one that last over 10 years and we got the use out of it.

George: It is a bit pricey, but for the quality and speed, it is worth the price. I have purchased other portable air compressors for my vehicles in the past. They were plastic and took forever to inflate my tire. This is all metal construction. It is fast, compared to other miniature compressors. Don't expect it to be as fast as a full-sized air compressor. It isn't, but it is much faster than any other miniature compressor I've ever used. The only issue is that it gers very hot during use and it is supposed to do that, so this is more of warning than a complaint. You do need to allow it to cool before putting it away after use if you use it long enough for it to get hot. I bought one for my truck as a trial. I liked it so much, I bought one for each of my daughters' vehicles. A+

Skydiver: Works great. The only thing I don't like about it is the carrying case it comes in.
It's way to small and if you use it you will have to put a sharp bend in the air hose where in connects to the air pump. This will cause the air hose to fail over time.

I bought the 11"L x 7"W x 6"H Rothco Wide Mouth Mechanics Tool Bag to store it in and that works fine.

I have a 2017 Honda Accord and this works fine with that car.
No fuses are blown, it reaches all the tires with room left over, and it has no problem inflating them to 35lbs.

PotsyweberPotsyweber: The media could not be loaded.  I was looking for a 12V air compressor for my 2020 Tesla Model 3 after experiencing a flat and having to wait 2 hours for roadside assistance to show up (Tesla's, like many new cars today, do not have a spare tire). I wanted something that wasn’t going to fail when I need it. Viair was on top of my short list because of its reputation for making quality products and the number of positive reviews. I was, however, somewhat concerned about reviews saying that the compressor will blow fuses. The Tesla Model 3 has a 12V accessory port rated at 12A continuous and 16A maximum so the Viair 84P should theoretically work since it is spec’d as requiring 15A maximum at 40 psi. The recommended tire psi for the Model 3 with stock 235/45R18 tires is 42psi so the max amp draw should be 15A. I was hopeful.

MBenMBen: The media could not be loaded.  I have bought this for my seasonal tires change and so far it has done the job. I topped-up 4 tires for my Honda CRV (18” tires) to 25 psi fairly quickly and the spare tire to 60 psi without an issue even though the compressor is rated to 60 as a maximum.
The device is small and seems well built except for the plastic piece holding the extra nozzle adapter which broke after 1 hour but that’s not a big deal for me.
The cable is long enough and noise is fairly low for a compressor.

Moose: Any headline using “blow” is just cheesy.
This is a very good little compressor. No, you aren’t going to run your nailer with it. No, you cannot inflate the 40” mudders on your Jeep. But you won’t have to change a tire on your F-150 in the pouring rain while cars zip past you at 80mph. Not if you have this and a can of Fix-a flat. Nor will you have to get up and drive to the gas station to blow up the tires on the kids bike.
Does it get hot? While no sh*t! It’s a tiny little motor working it’s butt off. When you notice it getting hot, stop! Wait a few. Stick it under the a/c. Geez. No it doesn’t come with the battery cables, you don’t really need them. The fuse for your lighter is almost positively 15 amp or more, unless your car is as old as me. ( I was 4 when we landed on the moon)
It is small, cheap and it just works. And it works very quietly. Can’t imagine what more you can ask. Toss some gloves, can of fix-a-flat and some pliers in the bag. Nothing worse than not being able to get a frozen valve cap off. I got a Rothco mechanic’s bag that fits everything plus the 6’ extension hose perfectly.
