VIAIR 450P Portable Automatic Compressor Kit: Perfect for RV and Silver Vehicles

Noreladim: Our 22.5 inch motorhome tires sometimes need to be inflated up to 115-125 PSI and most 12V operated pumps can't handle the pressure; this pump can. The only draw back I've encountered is that it does take a long time to get the tires up to operating pressures,, even when only needing to top them up 3-5 PSI. The pump is relatively quiet, considering its power; and the extended hoses and connectors are great to have on hand. The canvass carry case is perfect and stores well.

N. Prisbe: I use this for rving throughout the year. My camper tires require 125psi so its very hard to get a small compressor that either works that high, or takes forever. This little guy doesn't even flinch. Nice bag, stores very well, and airs up anything that I need, all while using a jumper cable clamp that's easy to hook up to any 12v dc battery. It's so easy that it makes me stay on top of my camper tires even more to ensure I am towing safely.

Amazon Customer: This bad unit has the power to inflate my diesel pusher motorhome tires. This thing is small, portable, light weight, and very powerful. Very high quality material. You need to connect it directly to the vehicle battery - there is no standard power plug. I use in conjunction with a digital gauge to verify pressure. The included chuck works very well with dually tires. This thing is expensive but high quality. Properly inflated tires makes a huge difference in vehicle handling. Very happy with this purchase. Highly recommend.

lorenR: With an RV your tires are your foundation. I found this VIAIR device to be packed correctly and quite well. It works great and airs RV tires well. The 60' coiled hose is great and you only need the extra 30' for large RV's. The battery clamps are quite well made and make a solid connection. The automatic feature is nice as the compressor only runs when it is airing the tires which removes having to carry the compressor from tire to tire. Overall, the 100% duty cycle is what you want. Why would you get a lesser duty cycle when you have no idea how long it will take to air all of the tires. This is for top off pressures only, they all are. If you have a broken seal on a tire no air compressor you can buy is going to do much. That is why you need a roadside assistance anyway. However, keeping your tires to the correct pressure plus or minus a few pounds is how you keep your RV safe, and protect your tires from wearing too quickly. Get one and be safe.

Scott Darlington: When we bought our Ford F-350 Dually and a fifth wheel trailer, I bought a CAD$80 (~USD$60) dual 12/120v air tire inflator. The first time we needed to use it, we found out how slow it was. We needed to raise the air pressure in our four big trailer tires from about 90 psi to 110 psi, with one tire at just 57 psi. It took nearly a half hour to do this, and was so slow that I settled for just 100psi--our friends were waiting for us to finish before we left the meeting point and headed on our way. I was determined not to repeat that frustrating experience. My next purchase was a much faster 12v tire inflator for about CAD$150 (~USD$112). It was much faster and certainly addressed the frustration problem. However, after about an hour's total use, the plastic part that clamps on the valve stem blew off the end of its hose. I was able to get a free replacement under warranty, but after a mere half-hour of use, that one started blowing its fuse every time I used it, rendering it useless. So, I decided that I had to find one that was highly rated and would last. After my experiences with these other ones, I was willing to pay for a good quality tire inflator.
