Nick chandler: Easy Install and a lot cheaper than factory kit

Akalinman: All fit well with no problem. I recommend watching the UHaul Youtube installation video by a lady. The instructions included with the package were not very good. Not all parts are necessary. I think there are some parts in case you need it for older models. Those are not clearly marked. In addition, there was no bracket included for the plug. I attached it to the trailer hitch bar with the longest plastic strap included in the package. It would have been great if there was a bracket, I saw in the UHaul video. Overall, I would rate it 5 stars if the instructions were good and if it included a plug bracket. High quality product. TIP for Toyota Highlander owners: It was very difficult to make a hole on the strong Toyota body for the ground connection. I had to use multiple tools to connect the ground cable to the body.

Eugene: Easy installation. Only took me about 15 minutes start to finish. No drilling required. I saw a video on youtube that suggested to drill a hole to connect the ground wire, but I just put it underneath one of the nuts in the trunk area with good metal-to-metal contact. Connected two socket connectors, inserted a tow fuse and voila.
IMHO, given the simplicity of the device, it is overpriced.

Raymond Wong: The wiring installation kits are all good but not come with the 4-way flat mounting bracket. If it comes with the kits, then it will be perfect for me to save a time to buy one from other local shops.

ssm: Item worked fine. Curt video on install DID NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT not all vehicles have the white 10 pin connector located in the back drivers hatch area. Fortunately another seller Etrailer listed a better install video that is worth watching. 10 pin connector up under the dash by the drivers feet. Plug the controller in, tie wrap it up and ground the unit on an available stud. Will need metric nut. Not really any available location for the grounding screw as indicated. 4pin plug installs in the hatch area as indicated. Install the 2 - 10 amp fuses and you are good to go. Curt should and could have done a lot better install video. Product was fine.

AcemanAceman: So as most folks said this is very easy to install. I installed it in a 2015 Highlander Hybrid. Plenty of videos on the Internet as to how to reach the wiring in the back of the vehicle so check those out. But there are a few things you should know and reading this should make it easier for you than it was for me.

Once you get to the point where you have removed the pieces and hooked up the two connectors, you have two decisions to make. First is whether to drill a hole for the ground wire screw provided or use a screw or bolt already in the vehicle. I chose to drill the hole, sand and that's the best option in my opinion because you don’t need to sand any nuts or screws and you can put that screw where you want it--there are plenty of safe places to drill in the rear near where the adapter plugs in.

The second decision is where to put the 4-pin plug (inside or outside the vehicle). I think the best option is to leave it inside the vehicle unless you will be using it a lot. You run it to the compartment where the spare tire tools are. I ran it through the piece of plastic that goes over the battery--see the picture (non-hybrid owners will not have a battery in the...
