Kitty: The pictures are lovely but the book is more like a family travel journal rather than a cookery book.
Recipes are okish but not what I am looking for. Not authentic as such more like the author's take on what they ate while on holiday. So disappointed that I will be returning it and look for an alternative.

DreamandBelieve: Overall I really like this book. I love that she included her stories, little snippets of her trip, and alternatives or suggestions. I agree with others that when I think of the Mediterranean I don't really think of France, Portugal, Spain and Italy. I do feel that the font is a little small but the biggest issue I had is there isn't a true ingredient list. You have to read the entire recipe to figure out all the items that you need, so that is why I took a star off. The artwork and aesthetic is beautiful.

J. S.: This book is one of the most beautiful books I've ever seen, and I think it's a steal at the price i paid. It's a hardcover book, it's much longer than i expected, and every single page is filled with stunning photos and colorful drawings. The recipes are truly inspired. My partner, who is difficult to impress, couldn't put this down - the recipes were bringing up all kinds of memories for him of his travels through Europe.

This is a book that would make a perfect gift for someone. It's SO beautiful. Wow!!

I’ve made the ricotta gnocchi a couple of times already (so tasty! But dough is better if it can rest over night)

El ReviewerEl Reviewer: The media could not be loaded.  I'll be forthright and say that I've bought every book that Erin Gleeson has come out with to date.

My favorite being The Forest Feast: Simple Vegetarian Recipes from My Cabin in the Woods, the original, and my least favorite being The Forest Feast for Kids: Colorful Vegetarian Recipes That Are Simple to Make, admittedly kind of a cash grab with duplicate recipes.

This book throws in some fresh life to her series, as she's obviously included recipes gathered, learned, and collected on her journeys through France, Portugal, Spain and Italy. While we'd all have loved to accompany her on these travels, the next best thing is to have her vetted and approved concoctions to make in my very own kitchen.

As one reviewer has pointed out, France, Portugal, Spain and Italy aren't necessarily the first countries you think about when thinking about "Mediterranean" countries - or at least not to me. Greece, Croatia, Israel, Lebanon, Turkey and others are not represented here, but if you know, and accept this, going into your purchase, you should be elated.
