mrs rosemary j giri: I’m really enjoying this series of The Whale Road Chronicles. Full of action and adventure, the Wolfcoats go from Norway to Orkney and finally to Iceland and I love reading about how these countries were in the 10th century. I’m constantly on Google to find out where all the places are that Einar and his Wolfcoats go to and that’s one thing I miss: a map or maps at the beginning of the books. A glossary would be useful too. These are my only - very minor - gripes about these books, apart from that they’re brilliant and I highly recommend them.

Tom: I simply cannot get enough of this. It is hard to pinpoint what exactly I love about this book when so much happens.

Einar is still seeking revenge and we see a colder side to him as he tries to. From the cautious and naive farm boy to a ruthless (and still naive) warrior, Einars development as a character takes a full turn as he truly becomes worthy of his status in Ulrich's band.
The build up to a cataclysmic and explosive ending was fantastic. The suspense was there throughout, and the ending did not disappoint at all.

As I have said before on these books, they are 100% worth a read. Those who love excitement, or Vikings, or a bit of history and more will love this as it keeps you pulled in and enthralled from the start!
