KarenSweet: This was a gift to my grandson who is vegan and a very good chef. He looked through the book and the numerous recipes he was going to make. Nice book with a hard cover.

A customer: I have hundreds of cookbooks, vegan or non-vegan. This book has to be one of my top favorites. I have so much respect for the Food 52 editors. They know how to turn out amazing recipes.
I made Mushroom, Chard, and Quinoa Enchiladas. It is absolutely delicious. To also know that it is extremely healthy (with nearly all whole-food plant based ingredients), how can any recipe get better? It is a good amount and I know the leftover is going to be even better tomorrow.
In addition to today's enchiladas, I've made numerous recipes from this book and they are reliably excellent. This is when I know a cookbook is a keeper: it does not just rely on a few great recipes, and then are filled with okay recipes. Thank you!

Victoria Q.: I invited a couple of new friends over for dinner. They are both vegan. I had never cooked vegan food before. I love to cook and have a fairly extensive cookbook library. I prepared a four-course meal for my friends: all dishes from this book, and crossed my fingers. Every last one of the dishes I made was a huge hit; especially the mac n cheese. I could not believe that mac n cheese could be so delicious and contain no animal products at all (no cheese! Who knew?). One of the guests begged to borrow the book to take home, I sent them home with leftovers, and everybody was super happy! Made my first dinner party in a new home a success! I am neither vegan nor vegetarian, but that mac and cheese was so good, I am making it again. For me. I currently have seed crackers drying in the oven (no gluten of any kind), and just made the cauliflower freekeh salad. Will make the cashew herbed cheese later today. All 8 recipes I have made so far from this book absolutely stellar! Kind of tempting me to convert to veganism just to keep eating this food!

Sarah Bromfield: This has quickly become one of my favourite recipe books. I have cooked several meals from it for meat eaters who have then proceeded to ask me for the recipe afterwards. Definitely not just a book for vegans (I'm not vegan I just prefer to eat dairy free as much as I can). I can't recommend this book highly enough.

Elizahenn: Yes, I'm enjoying this book, although not as, WOW, as I expected. I can't explain why, as I was so excited to get it and then, a little deflated. Don't be put off though, as there's some fantastic recipies

Julie: Nice quality book. Lots of photos and the recipes are simple. I disagree with their use of sugar hence the 4 star rating. I sub in stevia in the raw or monk fruit and the recipes work well.

Jean Parrott: I'm happy that I ordered this book as it is just what I was hoping to find I wanted a vegan cookbook that would give me a mix of recipes. I wanted vegan dishes that were more challenging to make, vegan recipes that could be be used to feed a large group of people, vegan dishes for one or two, or vegan dishes that would freeze well. My Food 52 Vegan Recipe book will be well-used in my home!

Amethyst Moon: I love food52! As soon as I found out about the release of this book I bought it. This is a pretty good vegan book. I've been vegan for 15 years so I have a lot of cookbooks. A lot of these recipes are pretty basic and common if you have any knowledge of vegan cooking. So for me it wasn't super exciting but there are a lot of good recipes. The photos are beautiful. There are a lot of soup recipes which I love and good breakfast options. Whether you are a new vegan, vegetarian, or looking for another healthy cookbook to add to your collection I would definitely check this out!!

Lucy N.: As I've come to expect from Food52's cookbooks, this is another great one. I've made a few things since I got this book, and all of them have been tasty - the carrot ginger bisque was a perfect fall soup, and reheated up great in lunches.
I think the section for breakfast is a little bit long, but other than that I'll consult it frequently.

MidWCal Gal: So far every recipe that I have tried has turned out. Recipes are not super quick but not complicated either with good, complex flavors.
