A. Pond: This book is a delight to read and a great source for vegetarian versions of traditional Korean dishes. The biographical stories of her family woven into the recipes , makes good reading too.

S García: The cookbook has the most amazing recipes that not only look good, but taste good!
I am not vegan (yet), but wanted to try some vegan recipes.
The book has beautiful photographs, aside from wonderful recipes. And additionally, the author writes about her family, her culture, which is at the heart of her recipes/cooking.
Highly recommend this book!

Alaysia: It’s such a well thought out and well put together book! I loved reading her story and how her family ties and how her experience growing up ties seamlessly into her recipes. And the recipes are sooooo well put together and there are so many of them! Very very excited to try them, this is a stunning read!

SarahSarah: You can’t go wrong with any of her recipes- everything has been so delicious! I can’t wait to try more. Even if you aren’t vegan you will love these recipes. What’s not to love about warm spicy potato soup or red bean choc chip cookies?! A must.

TrianeciTrianeci: I love this cookbook and have made so many recipes from it. It’s inspired me to up my vegan cooking game.
I use it so much that I have the audible version, the kindle version for quick access and the hardcover copy.
I’ve currently made many of the recipes and have enjoyed learning about the family history alongside the recipes.
There is even a pecan pie that’s amazing called Paht Pie that is made with red bean paste. I’m perfecting my sujebi game and am much more in tune with food oriented K-dramas when various ingredients or dishes are featured. It’s a lot of fun!
Buy this book, the real one (not the ripped-off scam copy bring sold around) and you won’t regret it. My first attempt at her recipe for pies in my review photo.

Marius Gabriel: One of the best selling cookbooks, and it is easy to see why.

I absolutely love Joanne Molinaro's calm, wise, generous style. I also love the personal content she puts in along with the ingredients. It comes through in all her YouTube clips (which add another dimension to this book, and are really worth watching), and it comes through in every one of her printed recipes here, whether traditional or fusion.

This isn't just a wonderful cookbook for vegans, it suggests new ways of preparing food for vegetarians and carnivores alike. She offers a flexible, sensible cuisine that produces truly delicious, nutritious meals.

Highly recommended to all foodies.

K: I've been enjoying TKV's Instagram for a couple of years now. This is a book for those who enjoy cooking as much as they enjoy reading stories and learning about people and and their cultures.

The recipes are, for the most part, easy to make and well explained. I have found a couple of errors or instructions that could be improved (e.g. on page 81, on steps 2 and 3 of the mung bean pancakes recipe the word "mung beans" is used when in step 2 we're referring to the "mung bean sprouts". It leads to confusion and I had to read this several times to understand what was happening. But it's really nothing you can't figure out by yourself!).

I have only tried a few recipes from the book and I'm very happy with the results of each one, except for the kimchi. I couldn't make that one turn out as well as the one I'm used to making. But it is supposed to be the traditional way of doing it and I'm not Korean, so who the heck am I to complain? :D

It is very true that availability of some ingredients is a problem, even here in Canada, which I wasn't expecting. If you have a car, unlike me, you may easily find them in your nearest Korean market, though!

Just get this...
