Sylvie: I’ve been buying this for years and love it. It tastes good (like nuts) and mixes easily. I chose it because it ISN’T fortified, so I can give it to my cats also. I mix it in their wet food and they like it.
My husband and I have found that it really does repel fleas. (Fleas are impossible to completely avoid if you live in Texas.) If any do bite, the lesion is a tiny, flat, pink dot that doesn’t itch very much and disappears fast. Applying hot water or hot air from a blow dryer, to any bites, also helps a lot. But the yeast helps prevent bites, because fleas dislike the smell of its thiamine (B1).
We treat our cats with Revolution and also feed them a little yeast every day.
Incidentally, we buy NOW peppermint oil on Amazon and make peppermint lotion. That works great for repelling mosquitoes!

Stephen B. Dwyer: I am a long time vegetarian , getting good nutrition is important, and not always easy, so I am careful to eat high potency foods. Nutritional Yeast is one of the ways I do this. This Yeast, by Lewis Labs is the best tasting. As a vegetarian who eats dairy but no eggs, fish, fowl, or meat , and I don't like cereals , breakfast is a tough meal.
I add two tablespoons of the Lewis Lab Yeast to a pint of low fat vanilla yogurt , it is delicious to eat, and very satisfying. I feel solid, and without hunger for hours afterwards. This is one of the basics of my diet, I am energetic and satisfied with it
I go through a lot of volume of yeast, so I am glad to buy the 16 ounce size from Amazon, it is the best deal I have found.
