Russell M. Beale: I have a meter. Sorry to say I don’t know the details. My old, traditional heating pad kicked out a score of about 20. This pad has a score of .05, almost zero.
The best feature is the ability to set and maintain a specific temperature versus constantly moving between high, medium, low and off.

JazzyJ: I use a heating pad everyday because my office is really cold. I was originally using a regular heating pad until I learned about the EMF's. I really like this pad. The heat evenly distributes throughout my body and I am getting less headaches. I also own a biomat and during a convention I learned that these types of heating pads help with increasing circulation. I wish I had known about this heating pad before purchasing my biomat as the biomats a very expensive.

Anna: I was sceptical spending $200 for a heat pad when I could find alternative non infrared heatpads for significantly less. I must admit, this mat has already paid for itself as I have felt significant improvement in some of my very sore spots when I followed my body massage with this heat pad. Some of my problem areas have improved by over 70% by way of my ability to move and the ongoing pain.
I have only used it for a couple of months and already seeing results. I hope it heals all users as it did my sore muscles.

OLivia Manor: You need to persevere with pad. Not the most comfortable as the pebbles dig into your back, so you think your back is still hurting, but once you remove pad, your back feels a lot better.

True: Excellent product. Easy to use and helps ease the pain in my back. It covers my pillow and sits comfortably behind me while easing my pain away. It stays on as long as you want it to. I can regulate how hot I want it. The long cable makes for easy connecting to a power source. The attached remote is the best. Never have to hunt for the remote.

Amazon Customer: The media could not be loaded. I love this mat. I bought this it around 6 months ago as I had been having a back muscle problem for ages, I was pretty desperate so thought I would try far infrared. I was sceptical but I'm now sold. I don't know if it's a placebo effect thing but I'm convinced it really helps settle any back pain.
On a side note: I did have an issue with the mat just recently, so I let customer service know and their service has been prompt and they solved the issue. They even followed up to check i was happy with the result.

The Mad One: I've been having a lot of trouble with my back and I was on the brink of bulk purchasing adhesive heat patches when I decided to look into whether infrared heat would be the better solution - I am glad I chose infrared and glad I chose UTK. I think this is a wonderful and much simpler solution since with a single purchase I can have as much heat as I want, wherever I want (not just my back) and I use this heat pad every day. I can very easily use it while sitting in my computer chair, running my own online business, or I can use it sitting up in my bed or lying down, relaxing on the couch, and apparently some people use them in their car as well. I find the heat really great, especially increasing or decreasing the heat at the touch of a button. So far this has been very comforting and has helped relieve muscle tension that spreads like wildfire whenever I have a section of my back twinging and playing up. I haven't had this long enough to say whether it prevents pain or tension, but I can say it relieves it, and that I'm satisfied with my purchase.
