Davinci: I don't understand all the raving 5-star reviews. The fire rod is of poor quality. Ok I'm used with the best of the best, the Swedish made Light my Fire but still, this one is really of low quality with very low sparks. The blade is almost useless if you're right handed. The sheath won't last long. It's not high quality nylon and the "trowel" goes it very tight, it will cut through the sheath in no time. Line cutter is useless for cutting good quality paracord. It's just an enhanced tent peg pry tool with some extra stuff that looks nice as marketing bullet points.

Lrm: I almost immediately returned this product before opening the package. My main reason for purchasing is to dig cat holes when backcountry hiking, but thought the additional benefits would be a nice addition. It felt very heavy. It needed to be returned for something lighter. I weighed it At 12 ounces and thought this is too heavy for my backpacking trip. I carefully check weight of all products I order for this reason. I rechecked the Amazon description thinking I ordered the wrong product. It was the correct product. Amazon stated it weighs 5oz, so i went ahead and opened the package, It weighed accurately as Amazon described. The packaging it self weighed as much as the shovel! It seems very durable and strong. My second thought is the knife wouldn’t be any better than our kitchen butter knife. But again, wrong. The knife cuts well. I nearly cut my finger on the serrated edge opening the package. I used the smooth edge to attempt cutting a dishrag, it cut so easily. It looks as if the edge could also be re-sharpened in the future if it would dull. I haven’t yet tried it on a trip yet, but I have full confidence in this so far. I don’t feel I will even need to take my...

DaxRunner: I have an ultralight Deuce of Spades trowel and an ultralight Morakniv that I carry backpacking. That works fine. I don't know why I thought I needed this, but for some reason this product appealed to me. I kept it in saved items for months before I finally ordered it. Then it sat in my pack while I recovered from an injury.
This weekend I finally took it out on a trip. This came out CONSTANTLY. I used it to chop sticks down to 3" to fit in my little wood stove. I used it to strike sparks for the fire (I had a lighter, but the ferro rod was more fun!). I used it to pick up hot coals that fell out and drop them back in the stove. I used it to lift the pot lid to check the water. I used it to lift the pot off the stove. I used it to scoop sand over the stove to put out the fire. I stabbed it in the ground to lean my phone on it for a selfie. I used it to scrape wood stove crud off my pot. I didn't need a cathole on this overnight trip, but I dug one anyway just to see how it would do. Chopped right through our dense East Texas black gumbo soil full of tree roots. No rocks here, but I imagine this would survive Rocky Mountain catholes a lot better than a flimsy Deuce of...

El Guapo: Opted not to take photos, but it does what it says, and says what it does. Pairs well with biodegradable hand sanitizer and tp.
